This fan work contains examples of:
- The Complainer Is Always Wrong: Though various characters have their reservations about Janga's Heel–Face Turn, Guntz is the most vocal about not wanting to trust his pops' killer, despite Janga's good intentions. It's not until Janga saves him during the attack on the L.O.A. Momett, and when he sees an old photo of himself, Janga, and his pops looking happy together, that he starts to doubt his own feelings toward the cat.
- Heel–Face Turn: After forcibly being brought back to life, Janga decides to join Klonoa and company in beating Garlen once and for all, if only so he can die afterwards.
- Immortality Inducer:
- Janga's (and Batz's) cybernetics, courtesy of Garlen, are designed both to stop him from aging and to heal any and all injuries, even life-threatening ones, he sustains.
- The Aeternus serves as one, allowing those with enough power to activate it and gain both eternal life and unlimited power.
- Killed Off for Real: Neither Suiryu nor Garlen survive the final confrontation.
- MacGuffin Escort Mission: The heroes' initial plan for keeping the Aeternus out of Garlen's hands is to transport it in secret to the Empire of Jillius via one of Volk's passenger airships. It doesn't work, as Garlen put a tracker in Janga's cybernetics that allowed him to steal the Aeternus mid-transit.
- Not Quite Dead: Late in the fic, it's revealed that Garlen has several individuals (including Batz) outfitted with healing cybernetics and hooked up to pylons, each being siphoned for energy.
- Recovered Addict: Before helping Klonoa and Guntz, Janga swears off booze in an attempt to think more clearly.
- Significant Wardrobe Shift:
- After deciding to side with the heroes in stopping Garlen, Janga slips back on the outfit he got back when he first partnered with Batz - including a purple waistcoast, white shirt, and black trousers.
- He gets another wardrobe shift before the final assault on Garlen's base, as he switches back to his purple coat, hat, and scarf to get in the mood to confront his old boss.
- Taking the Bullet: During the assault on the L.O.A. Momett, Janga noticed Lolo about to be stabbed by some of Garlen's robots, so he stepped in and took the blow instead. Fortunately, his cybernetics heal his stab wounds, and he's able to fight back.
- We Can Rebuild Him: Some time after the events of Klonoa Heroes, Garlen, who survived being consumed by Nahatomb, retrieved Janga's body from the moon crater, outfitting the cat with cybernetics designed to keep him alive for as long as Garlen's vitals ticked on, as punishment for the cat failing him. It's later revealed he gave similar cybernetics (albeit ones that aren't tied to his vitals) to several other victims, including Batz.
