Intense Gylt
is a fanfiction by CardinalOcean and MurderOfCrowss based on the video game Gylt.
It's an Adaptation Expansion of Gylt that goes into more detail of the game's backstory, while also expanding on what happens during the gameplay.
Tropes:
- Adaptation Expansion: Emily's backstory isn't just hinted at, but parts of it are actually shown. For example, what was Emily doing in the town before Sally arrived? Why did the kids start to hate Sally after Emily's disappearance?
- Imaginary Friend: Kevin from Home Alone is summoned to help Emily deal with the school being under attack by monsters.
- Kids Are Cruel: Cruel enough to harass another kid about the disappearance of her cousin, accuse her of murdering her cousin, chase her on their bikes and attack her with rocks.
- Minor Living Alone: Emily is living in the Dark World and somehow surviving, despite being seven.
- Would Hurt a Child: Right there in the first chapter, a monster attacks Emily. She manages to escape just in time.
