Infinity Train: Poppies for Flauros is an anthology side story of the Blossomverse, focusing on the main trios of the Cage of Flauros (the Silent Hill and Trainer trio) before the events of Act 2 and 3 of Blossoming Trail.
Infinity Train: Poppies for Flauros contains examples of:
- Adaptation Expansion: The side story showcases the Silent Hill and Trainer trio in different scenarios that weren't showcase in the original story.
- Ambiguous Time Period: The story takes place prior to Blossoming Trail (as Hop arrived on the Train before Chloe did and Alain was on the Train long before Gladion entered himself) but it's never given a period as to when everything takes place.
- And Now for Someone Completely Different: The story focuses on the Silent Hill and Trainer trio before their main appearences in Blossoming Trail.
- Flower Motifs: Poppies symbolize "peace, sleep and death". Poppies are known for creating opium and Hop has been brainwashed with a combination of an herbal mixture that he inhales.
- "Groundhog Day" Loop: "Closer" reveals that Alain's soul is stuck in one of these as fire starts chasing after him, forcing him to wake up.
- Imagine Spot: A dark one for "Speak His Mind" as Paul has one imagining how Reggie will essentially kick him out of the house and chew him for his apathy over Sean's death.
- Saved by Canon: The Silent Hill Trio will die, the Trainer Trio will escape and the Cage of Flauros is doomed to fail.
