A crossover with Seeker of Crocus, detailing how a certain figure decides to step in to "fix" a certain ending...

The story was eventually deleted a few days later due to overwhelming negative reception.

  • Aborted Arc: The story was supposed to serve as a connection to a later Seeker of Crocus storyline, at least implied by the Sequel Hook at the end. Given the story was eventually deleted due to negative reception, it's likely this plot point has been dropped.
  • Ambiguous Situation: What exactly was going on with Austen and the homeless person? Was the homeless person just some ranting loon? Was he part of Austen's plan to punish Ash and Goh?
  • The Bad Guy Wins: The Figure/Austen Plane successfully breaks Goh and Ash beyond repair, and leaves without facing any consequences.
  • Break the Cutie: Ash and Goh have this happen to them again, and this time, there's no way to help them recover.
  • Can't Get Away with Nuthin': Ash and Goh's crime that requires The Figure/Austen Plane to Mind Rape them? Wanting closure with Parker involving a harsh but necessary talk.
  • Continuity Snarl: Based on Ash's knowledge of the Christmas Carol, this story takes place before the Christmas story, where Goh and Ash are both perfectly fine and not broken wrecks.
  • Diabolus ex Machina: Ash and Goh encountered a wild The Figure/Austen Plane! The Figure/Austen Plane used Mind Rape! It's Super Effective!
  • Downer Ending: Not only are Ash and Goh, who spent the entirety of Blossoming Trail and Voyage of Wisteria regaining their confidence, completely broken beyond repair, but The Figure/Austen Plane faces no consequences whatsoever.
  • Dramatic Irony: Austen thinks he's doing right by giving Parker his happy ending...but it's shown that the Cerise family is fine with Parker going off to the Sinnoh region for a fresh start and Parker himself didn't want Ash and Goh to be sobbing messes for his sake.
  • Felony Misdemeanor: Why does Austen Plane/The Figure want to Mind Rape Ash and Goh into oblivion? Because he wanted to get closure from Parker.
  • Fix Fic: What the story is intended to be, being a slightly more hopeful alternative to Visitors of Achilles. The execution is... well if you are Parker it is a good ending. If you are Ash and Goh, or someone who cares about either of them, it is a downer ending instead.
  • Happy Ending Override: Serves as a really brutal one to Voyage of Wisteria; Ash and Goh were on their way to rehabilitation, but The Figure/Austen Plane's meddling ensures they'll never get a happy ending now, instead being confined to an asylum for the rest of their lives. This in turn will cause great harm to the lives of everyone who cares about them including their parents, Pokemon, friends, love interest, and Chloe herself, who has lost two of her friends.
  • Karma Houdini:
    • Austen Plane/The Figure walks away from the story without facing the consequences of breaking both Ash and Goh past the point of no return.
    • Parker doesn't get anything close to admitting his guilt and is let out with few if any strings attached, while the people he mind-raped in the first place replace him.
  • Metafiction: Discussed. Austen acts like a voyeur looking in and deciding that he'll make things better for the one who got punished, not caring that he just ruined what was a happy ending for everyone.
  • Not Me This Time: Parker immediately has to state that he had nothing to do with Ash and Goh, and in fact was the one who called his sister when something was wrong.
  • Outside-Context Problem: Austen Plane/The Figure is technically within the rules of the universe, and not much different from the other weird stuff Ash faces, but he arrives so suddenly he and Goh can't do anything but struggle before being broken.
  • "Ray of Hope" Ending: Parker notices that Ash and Goh were "marked" for something and hastily calls Chloe to send a message, indicating that there might be a way to fix everything.
  • "Shaggy Dog" Story: This single oneshot renders Ash's character arc in Blossoming Trail and the entirety of Voyage of Wisteria completely pointless, as both Ash and Goh are left so traumatized by the end of the story it's implied they'll never recover.
  • Villainy-Free Villain: Ash and Goh are treated by The Figure/Austen Plane as the villains of the story for not wanting to forgive Parker, despite having every right not to since he was personally involved in their worst tortures.
  • Yank the Dog's Chain: Goh had already completed his Train trip and gone through hell and back just to get back home. Then this story happens and ensures he's broken one last time, this time for good.
