Green Bean Stream Scene provides examples of:
- Adaptational Curves: In canon, Ochako is close in height to Izuku, being about 10cm/3in shorter than him. Here, she is much taller than Izuku, and is regularly referred to as a giant by both the narration and the chat, the sight of her being wrapped on Izuku's back being compared to that of carrying a giant koala.
- Adaptational Heroism: Himiko Toga is a second-year nursing student at UA who follows the Green Bean Stream in her downtime.
- Adaptational Name Change: Implied Trope. In canon, the "Bakugo" family name is, presumably, Masaru's family name, with Mitsuki taking it when they married. Here, Mitsuki caries the Bakugo name on her own, as Masaru is Adapted Out and Katsuki was born from a sperm donor.
- Adaptational Nice Guy: Downplayed. Bakugo is initially just as temperamental and surly as he was in canon pre-Character Development. Due to his behavior being constantly seen by the stream however, Nedzu gives him an ultimatum: either get therapy and anger management treatment with Hound Dog, or be not only expelled from UA, but charged with years worth of quirkism and abuse. Bakugo obviously picks the former, and due to taking his sessions seriously, ends up going through a minor Identity Breakdown due to no longer being able to yell at his problems while addressing how his old behavior was not okay, causing him to cease bullying Izuku, and act more restrained in conversation, even if still notably anti-social.
- Adapted Out: Masaru Bakugo, even if he does exist here, is not at all involved in the narrative, as Mitsuki had Katsuki via a sperm donor. GBSBot outright says Katsuki's father doesn't exist.
- Crack Fic:
The author admits in the summary that the idea behind the fic was totally bonkers, and it might as well be one with the crazy Internet antics in the chatroom. - Crossover: GLaDOS from Portal shows up as one of the new stream moderators along with Nedzu when GBSBot decides to go on a temporary vacation.
- Curb-Stomp Battle: Miruko handily thrashes Class 1-A by herself when she shows up at UA to teach them.
- Deadpan Snarker: GLaDOS, much like her canon counterpart, punctuates her speech with no small amount of sarcasm.
- Everyone Has Standards: Anyone who tries posting anything with sexual connotations is swiftly banned by GBSBot.
- Famed In-Story: Izuku has gained quite a reputation by the time he enters UA thanks to the popularity of the Green Bean Stream.
- Fountain of Memes: Expect the Green Bean Stream to feature a LOT of memes in the chat courtesy of its followers In-Universe.
- Gender Flip: Mineta, Kirishima, and Shoji are gender-swapped to females in this story.
- Getting Crap Past the Radar: Played for Laughs when Nana confronts All Might.Toshinori: Oh Sugar Honey Iced Tea.
- Groin Attack: Izuku accidentally nails the USJ Nomu in the gonads during the USJ attack.
- Harem Seeker: Ochako is one by proxy. While she is quite jealous of Izuku, she has no problem sharing him with other girls.
- Here We Go Again!: The sixth user of One for All has this reaction when they find out that they've manifested themselves along with the other previous users in Izuku's streaming Quirk.
- Precision F-Strike: Izuku drops one when he finally gains awareness of his latent Quirk after receiving One for All.Izuku: Yagi-sensei, why the fuck did my brain say 'poggers'?
- Pop-Cultured Badass: Yoichi Shigaraki, the first holder of One for All, loves to insert pre-Quirk era memes into the chat whenever he shows up on the Stream.
- Running Gag: Many times someone in the chat ends up asking how the hell Aizawa has a teaching license, typically resulting in Midnight mentioning he lost a bet.
- Shipper on Deck: The entire stream ships Izuku and Ochako with each other and rejoices when they consummate their relationship.
- Shout-Out: Izuku long-jumps his way through the first segment of the UA Sports Festival backwards a la Speedrunner Mario.
- Superhero Packing Heat: Momo summons a rocket launcher and a gatling gun during the USJ attack to use against the invading villains.
- Stacy's Mom: Mitsuki is quite attractive for her age, with one UA student commenting that Bakugo's mom looks like a supermodel.
- Tiny Guy, Huge Girl: Ochako is a great deal taller than Izuku, though Izuku doesn't mind about that.
- Troll: GBSBot can definitely be one, as shown when he changes Mt. Lady's Twitch nickname from TakeyamaFromTheBack into ThotMountain for the lulz.
- Weirdness Censor: The Green Bean Stream automatically censors Izuku's private information and any instances of him using the bathroom and/or nudity to make sure that Izuku doesn't have to worry about anyone stalking him and that the viewers don't get Mistaken for Pedophile.
- What the Hell, Hero?:
- Mt. Lady calls out the Pro Heroes for criticizing Izuku's decision to rescue Bakugo despite being Quirkless after All Might kills the Sludge Villain
Mt. Lady: Wait a minute, why are we praising this explosive kid for blowing up half the street? He’s the reason why there were fires in the first place! And you’re getting on this kid for having the guts to do what was right when we were just standing and watching? Unbelievable.- Recovery Girl is none too happy about All Might's advice to Izuku on handling One for All and calls him an irresponsible teacher.
- Eraserhead is on the receiving end of this courtesy of Nana when he tries to suppress Izuku's quirk, getting his Sink or Swim Mentor teaching methods called out in front of Class 1-A.
