Fanfic / Goku, The King of All

Go To

Goku, The King of All is a fanfiction created by Danny0829 that shows significant changes to the Dragon Ball Super series although it also shows some changes to earlier points in the franchise.

In this fanfic, Zeno wanted a playmate and a brother. So he and the Grand Minster set out to find one where after scouring the multiverse, they encountered Goku's spacepod. Happy with seeing such a nice choice, Zeno had him become his playmate and brother, also have him trained to become another Omni-King.

This story is almost complete as of March 29, 2021. It can be read here.

This fanfiction contains the following tropes:

  • Adaptational Badass:
    • Obviously Goku gets this trope. He could access Super Saiyan 1, 2, and 3 as a child, gets access to both Super Saiyan God and Super Saiyan Blue much sooner, can go into Super Saiyan Blue 2 and 3, use Completed Ultra Instinct and has access to the multiversal erasure technique that Future Zeno used to erase the timeline.
    • Vegeta, upon seeing Goku access Super Saiyan Blue 2, strives to reach that power himself. He does manages to do so near the Tournament of Power.
  • Adaptation Species Change:
    • Rather than being half-saiyan, half-humans, both Gohan and Goten are half-saiyans, half-angels.
    • By extension, with Gohan marrying Videl and having Pan, Pan is an Uneven Hybrid of being half-human, a quarter angel, and a quarter saiyan.
  • Adapted Out: Chi-Chi does not make an appearance in the story. Justified as she never married Goku in this fanfic, so she ahs no connection to the plot.
  • Afraid of Needles: Despite being the ruler of the multiverse, Goku is still scared of needles. His wives forcefully injects him with a needle.
  • All Amazons Want Hercules: Vados and Marcarita, two angels and hence, are already the strongest in their respective universes, fall in love with Goku, one of the most powerful beings in the multiverse. The gender-inverted version of the trope also applies to Goku as he also returns the sentimental to them.
  • Composite Character: A small one but Bulma's the one that grills the food for the Universe 7 people during the Destroyer Tournament Saga instead of Chi-Chi.
  • Mistaken for Cheating: One scene has Vados think Goku is cheating on her with Kusu due to seeing him eat chocolate with Kusu like a couple. Goku has to quickly clarify that he only needed her help in making a cake.
  • Plot Hole: With Goku never been on Earth (or if he did go to Earth, it's never stated), a lot of scenarios on how it was possible for events to have played out like they would in canon should be impossible or at least never went that way.
    • Goku somehow knows the Kamekameha, even though it's never stated he trained under Master Roshi.
    • Vegeta declaring to Frieza to not insult his wife Bulma during the fanfic's version of the Namek saga, even though at that point, Bulma would not have started any relationships with him.
    • A version of the Android Saga must have occurred due to Android 17 and 18 being in the story, yet Goku was not on Earth to destroy the Red Ribbon Army, which was the trigger for Doctor Gero to begin the creations of Android 17 and 18.
  • Obfuscating Stupidity: Goku is only playing dumb with Vegeta with Whis helping to keep up the charade during Vegeta's training with Beerus.
  • Oh, Crap!:
    • Infinite Zamasu having that reaction when he realized that he tried picking a fight with Goku.
    • While there is a Mass "Oh, Crap!" moment among the Gods of Destruction just after the Tournament of Power when they realized they insulted Goku unknowingly (as he was in a disguise), Beerus takes the cake in how much he screwed up when Goku notes that he specially also threatened to hurt Gohan and Goten and the most critical, ordering Frieza to blow up Planet Vegeta.
  • Related in the Adaptation:
    • Thanks to Goku marrying Vados and Marcarita and having a son with each of them, Gohan and Goten are related to the two female angels respectively instead of being the sons of Chi-Chi, with Vados also becoming Pan's grandmother.
    • This also extends to the Grand Minster being their grandfather and the great-grandfather of Pan respectively.
  • Spared by the Adaptation: The future Goku survives in the future timeline instead of dying from a heart virus.
