Girls, Gems and Frogs is an Amphibia fanfiction written by AstroEvada

It tells the story of Cindy Maxwell, a 13 year old girl who moves to Los Angeles from her hometown of Seattle, Washington in light of her father getting a new job. There, she enrolls in St. James Middle school in which her friend Marcy Wu attends alongside her friends, Anne Boonchuy and Sasha Waybright. Unbeknownst to her, this sets in a chain of events that lead to the quartet being transported to Amphibia. Seperated from her friends, Cindy must reunite with her friends and find a way to return to Earth.

This fanfic provides examples of:
- Crush Blush: Cindy experiences this a lot when with Marcy, especially after Marcy hugs her for the first time.
- Curse Cut Short: When Anne opened the calamity box, Cindy was midway through saying the full version of WTF just as the quartet got transported.
- Dislikes the New Guy: Zoey upon the amphibians meeting Cindy. Whilst she does comes across as somewhat of a paranoid Alpha Bitch, it is justified in that nobody does know where Cindy comes from yet nor her intentions.
- Foreshadowing: Cindy's dreams' foreshadow the calamity stones on the music box via three bright stars with her representing the fourth one.
- Karma Houdini: When Cindy and Sasha graffitied their named onto wall, Cindy walked right into police officers who were right around the corner. Whilst Cindy got grounded by her Father for both sneaking out and graffiti, Sasha is implied to have gotten away scot-free.
- Skyward Scream: Upon arriving to Amphibia, Cindy lets out a scream for help into the air.
- Take That!: In chapter 2, whilst the quartet were discussing stuff at recess, Cindy and Marcy made jabs at Sonic the Hedgehog 4, the former regretting ever defending the game with Marcy telling her not to feel bad about it as she defended Sonic Forces previously.
