Agent 3 (real name "May Pike") defeated DJ Octavio but that doesn't mean her ordeal is over. Just because their leader is jailed doesn't mean the octarians have given up on trying to get to the surface. While on another mission, Agent 3 takes pity on an Octoling she accidentally injured and takes her home. That was how Agent 3 ended up with an enemy in her house.
First Aid Kits and Deep Secrets is a Splatoon fic by Littlemapleleaf based upon the original game. The fic tells the tale of Agent 3 and her relationship with an Octoling as she deals with her own life and an approaching Octarian invasion. - Mercy Kill: Subverted. May refuses to kill the Octoling, and thus she ends up dragging her to her house.
- The Nothing After Death: May describes death as being "trapped within darkness, cold, slowly losing your idea of who you were until your soul was a wisp of what it once was".
- One Head Taller: Gill is unusually short for an inkling while his boyfriend Matt is unusually tall for an inkling.
- Paper-Thin Disguise: It's an Open Secret amongst Agents 3 and 4 that Callie and Marie are Agents 1 and 2, respectively.
- Swear Jar: Gill keeps one for the profanity-prone Matt.
