Fallout Equestria: Lionheart is Recursive Fanfiction of a Fusion Fic between My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the Fallout universe. First published on December 24th 2021 by Sparkapocalypse Vanguard.

Stable 69 is an okay place to live, for those in charge. But for shock-collared slaves like Sparkapocalypse "Sparky" Meteorstorm, an enslaved half-Lion Unicorn, life in Stable 69 means getting fucked over by those in charge. Despite his wits and might and "stunning good looks"(if you don't mind his kind), Sparky never thought he was anything special. Just another half-Unicorn Lion working two jobs to support himself and his adopted sibling, an autistic Wolf girl by the "creative" name of Luna. He never thought he'd amount to anything in this society of lies, not with a slave collar around his neck that could kill him if he ever stopped working.

And then he was gifted a mysterious journal with a drawing of an Apple on the cover.

When a certain lavender Unicorn with eyes of amethyst and stars on her rear invited Sparky to The Church Of Dawn's Hope, his life was changed forever, thrusting him hard and fast and far too deep into a world of chaos and madness with Twilight Sparkle herself at his side in an everlasting war for Equestria's past, present, and future.

Because war...

War never changes.

Fallout Equestria: Lionheart has the following tropes:

  • Action Prologue: This story has one.
  • Amplifier Artifact: Subverted, the crystals around Stable 69 prevent the use of magic.
  • Author Appeal: The author likes meat-eating animals and wished to avert their typical depiction as pure evil monsters.
  • Author Filibuster: Mild example, Battle Saddles are depicted as a half-baked mechanical solution to let incompetent gunslingers pretend they are good shots, a privilege of the rich to put them over the poor. That they let cartoon horses use iconic human firearms clearly designed with the ergonomics of the human hand and resources of a magic-free world in mind, yet magic was necessary to make them functional by allowing them to aim and reload via magic, was not stated because cartoon animals would have no reason to know what hands are. In any case, simpler solutions for gun-toting quadrupeds, such as Sparky's skill with manipulating weapons using his tail, trump the convoluted machinery of the Battle Saddles, especially in gun ranges where there are no live targets for the Battle Saddles to detect.
  • Drama-Preserving Handicap: The anti-magic crystals prevent the magic-users from solving problems with magic, and the bomb collars prevent a mass exodus of the workforce outside of Stable 69 that would leave the Nobles without farmers or skilled labour.
  • Energy Weapon: This story contains Energy Weapons and traditional ballistic weaponry, and Sparky prefers the former.
  • Fake-Out Opening: Much of the story's first chapter was a story written by the protagonist as a child prodigy in engineering and science with unhelpful writing teachers.
  • Family-Unfriendly Death: Poor Cymbal.
    • Don't forget about Cymbal's mother, Bear Growls, Crimson Carmine, and all of the other victims of Nobility.
  • Hybrid Power: Sparky is a Half-Unicorn Hybrid, and only the anti-magic crystals of Stable 69 prevent this swift and strong fighter from using magic.
  • It's All About Me: The Nobles believe this.
  • Non-Indicative Name: The chapter "Glorious violence" features the hero fleeing helplessly from a funeral attacked by police drones who killed a child right in front of him.
  • Loophole Abuse: The security cameras with gun turrets automatically fire on lawbreakers. Nobles, Noble policemen, and police drones get away with breaking their own laws by making crimes officially legal or illegal based on your caste.
  • Would Hurt a Child: The Nobles killed Cymbal and Crimson Carmine.
