Epic: The Third Survivor
is a Resident Evil Fan Fic written by Indigo Siren.
The fic centers on Sherry Birkin, telling her side of the story of Resident Evil 2.
Epic: The Third Survivor contains examples of the following tropes:
- Air-Vent Passageway: Sherry spends several chapters making her way through the police station's ventilation system.
- Harmful to Minors: In addition to seeing extreme violence as a result of being stuck in a Zombie Apocalypse, Sherry secretly witnesses Chief Irons raping and killing the Mayor's daughter.
- Hero of Another Story: The fic. In a nutshell, it explains Sherry's exploits prior to and during Resident Evil 2.
- Humans Are the Real Monsters: Chief Irons rapes the Mayor's daughter before killing her in chapter 5, the chapter being fittingly titled "Monsters Can Be Human Too."
- No Sympathy: In chapter 12, it's stated outright in the narration that Claire has no sympathy to spare for the mutated abomination William Birkin has become, since he infected Sherry with the G-virus and was responsible for the Raccoon City outbreak.
- Vomit Indiscretion Shot: After seeing Chief Irons' body after the G-virus Chest Burster killed him, Sherry promptly vomits into the sink.
