A story in The Weedverse, Enter The Dragon
is a fanfic by Kudzuhaiku. It bridges the gap between Trixie Lulamoon and the Horrendous Hypothesis and Princess Twilight Sparkle's School For Fantastic Foals, and explores the relationship between Twilight Sparkle and Spike as they discuss what to do with an orphaned dragon egg.

- Deadly Gas: How the dragon egg became orphaned - a group of ponies used this to murder a family of pygmy dragons to steal their hoard. The gas in question was described as an anti-dragon necrotoxin that causes cell death.
- A Dog Ate My Homework: Apparently Spike once ate Twilight's homework, and she got into trouble when Celestia didn't believe her.
- Dragon Hoard: The reason the pygmy dragons were attacked.

Twilight comes to unfortunate conclusions after giving the entire situation a bit of thought.Twilight, not knowing what to say, held Spike in silence, wondering what this must be like for him. After giving it a little thought, she realised that it must be unbearable. It was more than what had just happened, it was also a statement about dragons in Equestria, their place in society, and Twilight could not even begin to imagine how this might be hurting Spike, these awful, awful realisations. She felt a growing lump in her throat and a heaviness in her heart as she thought about Spike’s place in Equestrian society as a whole.
- Heroic BSoD: Spike spends the entire story in one after learning what a group of pony looters did to the dragon egg's family.
- Kick the Dog: The pony looters tried to kill off an entire family of pygmy dragons, all to get to their treasure, and nearly succeeded, leaving behind one lone dragon egg.
- Offscreen Moment of Awesome: Tarnish and Maud took out the looters who murdered the dragon egg's family.
- Sole Survivor: The dragon egg was the last surviving member of its family, after a Deadly Gas attack killed its parents and siblings.
