"No longer will there be the laughter of thirsting gods. Only their screams."

Doom: End Times is a crossover between Doom and Warhammer Fantasy by DaneNagai on Fanfiction Dot Net, Archive of Our Own, Spacebattles, and Wattpad. The Archive of Our Own, Spacebattles and Wattpad links can be accessed here, here and here.

As the End Times fall upon the Old World, the Doom Slayer is summoned by Teclis in an effort to save the world from the forces of Chaos. After he is informed of the current crisis the world is facing in its struggle against evil, he proceeds to take it upon himself to purge the world of the Chaos Gods and their followers so that their evil will plague the world no longer.

Doom: End Times contains examples of:

  • Abhorrent Admirer: Morathi has the hots for the Doom Slayer thanks to his martial prowess and utter brutality, declaring that she will make him her consort, with or without his consent, while watching his actions from her crystal ball in her tower. The Slayer, of course, has zero clue about Moraathi's attraction and rejects her wiles when he meets her.
  • Adaptational Deviation: Word of God states that the Skaven will not conquer the Lizardmen as easily as they did in canon because of the author's distaste towards how poorly the Lizardmen's defeat against the Skaven was handled.
  • Adaptational Nice Guy: Very, very Downplayed with Hellebron; she's still the fanatical Khaine worshipper she is in canon, but has enough rationality to keep herself from going completely insane with devotion.
  • Adaptation Name Change: The Warhammer Fantasy world goes by the name of Malleus instead of remaining unnamed.
  • A Mind Is a Terrible Thing to Read:
    • Alarielle glimpses into the Slayer's mind after Hayden and the Slayer grant her permission to do so. She ends up having a severe Psychic Nosebleed from witnessing his Dark and Troubled Past.
    • A similar experience occurs with Malus when Tz'arkan shows visions of the Slayer, shrugging off a migraine and a nosebleed as well.
  • Assassin Outclassin': A Skaven assassin tries to ambush the Slayer when he stays at an inn in Ulthuan. The Slayer reduces the rat to Ludicrous Gibs with a single blast from his shotgun and a boot to the face before he notes how pathetic it's murder attempt was.
  • Chainsaw Good: Viktur meets his well-deserved, and very messy, end at the Slayer's chainsaw.
Samuel Hayden: "You're not going to die with a bullet in your head... but you're going to wish it did." [the Slayer revs his chainsaw]
    Viktur: "W-Wait, wait! NonononoAAAAAAGHHH!"
  • Commonality Connection: The Doom Slayer and Alith Anar are very grim antiheroes who have personal grudges against their enemies and have no problems in inflicting very brutal methods on said enemies. Alith Anar isn't even too bothered by the Slayer's chainsaw execution of Viktur.
  • Composite Character: Hell and Chaos were once a single united faction before something caused Hell to banish Chaos to Malleus.
  • The Dreaded:
    • The Chaos Gods are rightfully afraid of the Slayer considering how he decimated the hordes of Hell by his lonesome back when Hell and Chaos were united, to the point that their followers, who aren't exactly the best picture of mental stability even on good days, go completely off-their-gourd crazy after he is summoned into the Old World.
    • Hell is also quite feared among all the factions considering the bad blood they had with Chaos in the past.
  • Everyone Has Standards:
    • Teclis is understandably unhappy about Finubar's request to bring Malekith back as the next Phoenix King given that he tried to poison Bel-Shanaar to usurp the throne and waged a long and bloody war against his former brethren after that murder attempt of his failed.
    • Sindric, a nasty dark elf pirate himself, is uncomfortable with Viktur openly flaunting his Twincestous relationship with his sister Saressa.
    • Alarielle can only express sympathy and sadness at what the Slayer endured throughout his life after viewing his memories.
    • Even though Viktur is an unrepentant Dark Elf pirate, the High Elves (except for Alith Anar) are left horrified of the Slayer's chainsaw execution of Viktur.
    • Khalida has nothing but disgust for Mannfred's scheme to revive Nagash due to how the ancient necromancer will stop at nothing to turn Malleus into a wasteland populated only by himself and his undead slaves.
  • Fear Is the Appropriate Response: Tz'arkan urges Malus to get themselves as far away as possible from the Doom Slayer rather than facing him in battle.
Malus: "And what would you suggest? Have me run off to some foreign land; holding my tail between my legs?"
Tz'arkan: "Better you did than die a fool's death. Besides, it's probably better than pleading for your life. I've seen several dimwits try to negotiate with promises of power and pleasure. Even controlling him is a total death wish. I pity the fool who tries to ever think of using him for their own ends."
  • Godzilla Threshold:
    • Teclis summoning the Doom Slayer is one for Malleus because of the coming apocalypse spearheaded by the forces of Chaos.
    • Finubar requesting that Malekith be brought back to become the next Phoenix King is this for the Asur given the bad blood between the Asur and the Druchii, not to mention all the horrible things Malekith had done in the past.
  • Hope Bringer: The Slayer inspires all of the factions fighting against Chaos, whether they be the elves, humanity, or the orks, with his mere presence alone. On the other hand, the Skaven are as wary of him as they are inspired by him given how he could pose a threat to their nefarious plans.
  • Horrifying the Horror: With the exception of Khorne, the three Chaos Gods are horrified of the Doom Slayer when his presence is made known to them.
  • Hostage Situation: Viktur uses Gwen as a Human Shield in front of the Doom Slayer. The Slayer simply blasts off the arm that was holding his dagger above Gwen's neck.
  • I Warned You: Tz'arkan repeatedly warn Malus about the Doom Slayer and trying to convince him to get as far as possible from the Hellwalker. Malus doesn't take his warnings seriously and is very certain he could beat him.
  • Last Request: King Finubar requests that Teclis summon the Doom Slayer to avert the End Times and, to the surprise and chagrin of the latter, bring Malekith back to Ulthuan so he can become the next Phoenix King of the Elves.
  • Legally Dead: Alith Anar is officially dead among the high elves thanks to what he went through during the Sundering and Teclis keeping the fact that he's still alive a secret.
  • Noodle Incident: Whatever caused the division between Hell and Chaos must have been severe for the latter to be banished to Malleus.
  • Not Quite Dead: Wulfrik somehow manages to survive getting blasted in the chest by the Slayer's Super Shotgun and kicked into the ocean.
  • Only Sane Man:
    • Khorne, of all deities, serves as this for the Gods of Chaos given that he's the only one of them who's not freaking out at the Doom Slayer's arrival.
    • Archaon, Valkia, Wulfrik, and Vardek Crom, along with the Khorne worshippers in their army, are the few members among the forces of Chaos who aren't freaking out as badly as their patron gods are at the Doom Slayer showing up.
  • Papa Wolf: Tyrion and Alarielle marshal Ulthuan's forces to rescue their daughter after they receive news of her kidnapping at the hands of Mannfred von Carstein and the forces of Hell.
  • Shout-Out: Hayden makes a reference to A Song of Ice and Fire and the contentious finale of Game of Thrones in his retort against Imrik.
Hayden: Or what, punish us with a song of ice and fire? It didn't go so well last season.
  • Spared by the Adaptation: Lokhir Fellheart does not die at the hands of Wulfrik thanks to the Slayer interrupting Wulfrik with a shot from the BFG 9000.
  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork: The Slayer and Hellebron barely tolerate each other even while they're working together to reach Malekith before the forces of Chaos get to him first.
  • Underestimating Badassery: Malus Darkblade doesn't heed Tz'arkan's warnings about the Doom Slayer, and he is very certain he can kill him with the Warpsword of Khaine. He doesn't even budge on Tz'arkan's vision that shows trillions of Chaos daemons dying at the hands of the Slayer.
  • Villainous Incest: Viktur and Saressa Bloodsong are dark elf pirate leaders who are twin siblings and have sex with each other on a frequent basis.
  • Villain Respect: Khorne has nothing but respect for the Doom Slayer due to his brutality in combat and his unerring determination. In fact, while the other three Chaos Gods are freaking out over the Doom Slayer's arrival on Malleus, he simply laughs at the prospect of facing a worthy foe.
  • Villain Takes an Interest: Malekith believes the Doom Slayer is valuable in his plans against the daemons of Chaos and wants to control him.
  • Villains Want Mercy: Viktur's subordinate Taryn gets locked out by his captain and left to be cornered by the Doom Slayer. Taryn desperately begs for his life by turning on his treacherous captain. He gets shot for his troubles.
  • Woman Scorned: Morathi is enraged when the Slayer spurns her advances, though after throwing a short tantrum, she calms down and icily agrees to bring him to her son.
  • Ye Olde Butcherede Englishe: Mannfred von Carstein speaks in what can be charitably called "bad Shakespearian English" in an attempt to seem more refined than he really is. He later ditches it at the banquet he hosts after Wallach complains that his piss-poor attempt at sophistication makes him difficult to understand.
  • You Shall Not Pass!: Tullaris Dreadbringer volunteers to fight Arbaal himself to buy time for Hellebron to escape and reach Naggarond in time.
