Danganronpa: Shattered Truth
is a Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony talent-swap fanfic written by Maztermo
Kaede Akamatsu, here the Ultimate Writing Prodigy, wakes up in a disturbing situation alongside fifteen other talented students. Apparently trapped until the end of their lives in a mysterious academy, the students soon discover that the only way out is through murder.
This fanfic has examples of:
- Adaptational Job Change: Each character has a different talent than in canon.
- Adaptation Name Change: As he's not a robot in this fic, K1-B0's name is instead spelled Kibou, closer to the original romaji.
- Adaptation Species Change: Kibou is a human instead of a robot.

- Whether Tsumugi is still the mastermind is not made clear
- Whether it's really an alternate universe or a season reset.
- The fact that Shuichi, Himiko and Maki seem to be remembering their talents during the canon, seems to point to the second option.
- Gender Flip: Kibou and Tsumugi are non-binary, though they still accept their canon selves' pronouns.
- Korekiyo, Angie and Himiko are also non-binary in this version. Although Kiyo and Angie use neutral pronouns (They / Them) and Himiko use feminine and masculine pronouns.
