DanganRonpa/Love Live!: Melody of Despair
is an ongoing crossover fanfiction by Ungentlemanly Conduct, between the Love Live! and DanganRonpa franchises. It is written in first person format (though switches to script format for Class Trials) and follows Chika Takami as she and seventeen other students - now students at Hope’s Peak Academy - are forced into a Killing Game by Monokuma.
This fanfic contains examples of:
- Adaptational Jerkass: You is more confrontational and aggressive in this story than in Love Live Sunshine!!.
- Anyone Can Die: Just as in the original DanganRonpa games.
- Bears Are Bad News: Monokuma, like in DanganRonpa.
- Born Lucky: Yoshiko is the Ultimate Lucky Student.
- Born Unlucky: She also seems to be the victim of several unfortunate events, such as having a faulty bathroom door in her dorm room.
- Crossover: Between Love Live! and DanganRonpa.
- Genki Girl: Honoka Kousaka is energetic and easygoing, and quickly befriends the others. She’s also the Ultimate Friend.
- Shipper on Deck: Mari sets up a Dating Pool and happily pairs up Honoka and Chika.
