Crawl Like a Worm
by JustBukharin is a Fan Fic in the Fate/stay night branch of the Nasuverse. The plot of this story starts few days before the official beginning of the Fourth Holy Grail War, the protagonist being a Self-Inserted Shinji Matou as he tries to gain the means to not only prevent the competition from happening but also tries to save his surrogate little sister from Zouken Matou's plans.
While the story starts from the Fate branch of the Nasuverse, which is completely separated from the Tsukihime one canon-wise, because of Zelretch's ability to send people inbetween different universes allows the main cast to experience the fullest of the Nasuverse without breaking away from the conventional rules of the universe.It has a Sufficient Velocity and a Spacebattles thread.

- Asshole Victim:
- The Prillyaverse version of Zouken Matou is said to have perished against Zelretch and his Clock Tower's retinue while attempting to recover some shards of the dismantled Greater Grail.
- A minor case is Corrupted Ko-Gil during the recovery of the Eight Card as he is subjected to several magic-induced explosion caused by Chibi Kaleido Sapphire.
- Because You Were Nice to Me:
- This happens with Chloe/Kuro as she is slowly coaxed to open herself up with Shinji. She is incredibly attached to the Protagonist and she shows it in several occasions.
- Ko-Gil seems to appreciate the relative kindness of the Protagonist and he has voiced several times the fact he consider him a friend.
- Happens with Saber Alter too as she is quite trusting of Shinji after he had started to cook her favourite food quite often.
- Butt-Monkey:
- Prillya!Rin and Prillya!Luvia are often used as comic relief and are belittled by Shinji himself several times at their apparent lack of preparations before important events.
- Crazy-Prepared: Because of his lacking skills in Magecraft, Shinji is mostly forcee use every bit of information he knows of the Nasuverse to plan out workable situations, sometimes even relying his own knowledge of how characters act around him.
- Clueless Chick-Magnet: Shinji is surprisingly one, with Chloe being the first to show interest of that kind.
- Locked Out of the Loop: Chibi Luvia is mostly clueless of what is happening around her, but she has shown to be trusting of Shinji's decisions.
- Loophole Abuse: Shinji uses this multiple times in different subjects.
- Legally. The first time accidentally as he manages to get hold of the Einzbern Castle in Prillya!Fuyuki and then to fully rebuff Prillya!Kiritsugu and Prillya!Irisviel from wrestling Kuro's custody out of his hands.
- Magecraft-wise. Using his limited knowledge of the Matou's matrix in the making of the Grail, he is able to partially succeed in his early attempt to summon the Heroic Spirit assigned to the Ainsworth Card by resurrecting them to life.
- No Social Skills: This is mostly true for Chibi Luvia. Having spent her young life being sheltered in her mansion to be groomed into a proper heiress to her family, her 'social' skills are actually basic political ones.
- Oh, Crap!:
- When a mana-starving Kuro tackle to the ground Shinji few moments after he arrived in the Prillyaverse with Chibi Luvia.
- When he first see Prillya!Kiritsugu watering some flowers.
- Encountering Prillya!Kirei and seeing Prillya!Caren.
- This Loser Is You: Shinji is the Author and he kept his knowledge of the Nasuverse from the switch. Being Shinji, he is quite limited in his capacity to influence the plot without exploiting external help.
