is a Legend of Zelda Fanfic, not based on a specific game in the series.
The fanfic focuses on Link, who is raised by Impa after being orphaned at a young age. Best friends with Princess Zelda and Sheik, he also seems to find a connection with a strange Gerudo male called Ganondorf. Ganondorf remembers his past incarnations, but seems to have a plan for the young hero that doesn't involve a war.
This seems to be fanfic spawned from the fandom's idea of the three chosen by the Triforce working together. Characters and references from multiple games, across multiple timelines appear in this fic, making it hard to guess where the author has placed this story.
This fanfic contains examples of:
- Action Girl: Zelda and Impa seem to be the main two here, though many other characters apply.
- Boyish Short Hair: This incarnation of Zelda has shorter hair than her previous incarnations, but isn’t that much more boyish – unless you count the fact that she wears clothing more appropriate to fight in.
- Continuity Nod / Mythology Gag:
- Link’s nickname is ‘Little Wolf’. He earned this nickname after he left Ordon Village while it was attacked by a monster.
- Zelda and Sheik have very similar fighting styles.
- Zelda and Sheik play a game with Zelda’s toys about a young pirate named Tetra fighting an octopus-like monster named Bellum.
- Deadpan Snarker: Malon. Just Malon.
- Heel–Face Turn: Ganondorf doesn’t want to fall down the same path as he had in the past.
- Mama Bear: If you seem like you could be a threat to Zelda, Sheik or Link, you better be ready to deal with Impa.
- Past-Life Memories: Ganondorf quite clearly remembers his past-lives.
- It’s implied that Zelda also remembers her past-lives, but not to the same extent as Ganondorf.
- You Can't Fight Fate: Played with. Ganondorf seems to believe this, thinking that he’ll eventually turn evil and be slain by the hero. He also believes that Link is destined to be used by those around him. However, he’s willing to try and change it.
