All my homies hate Athalie Severin contains examples of:
- Adaptational Angst Downgrade: In Muted, Avaline is the only person who mourns her mother after her execution, while here, she seems to shrug it off.
- Adaptational Jerkass: In canon, Avaline, Camile, and Silvia don't cuss out Athalie right after she died in front of them; they make their distaste for her clear, but don't cross the line. They also don't ignore her dead body and start talking about Camille's romantic prospects right then and there, for that matter.
- Adaptation-Induced Plot Hole: Why does God suddenly decide to kill Athalie Severin right at that moment, when he could have killed her before she killed her sister or abused her kids? Muted averted this by not having God appear at all, and not being, well, a Crack Fic.
- Bolt of Divine Retribution: God strikes Athalie with a bolt of lightning, and doesn't show any regret about it.
- Canon Foreigner: God never made an appearance in canon, but he decides to here for whatever reason.
- Character Exaggeration: In canon, while Camille and Silvia clearly have a distaste for Athalie (to put it mildly), Camille doesn't go so far to call her a "homophobic bitch" while her dead body is right next to her, and Silvia wouldn't just start randomly talking about Camille's romantic prospects while completely ignoring the body.
- Coming-Out Story: After Athalie's death, Camille finally comes out as lesbian, and Silvia promises to "set [her] up" with some "cool lesbians" that she knows.
- Contrived Clumsiness: God hits Athalie with a bolt of lightning and only responds with an "Oops~", which doesn't really help his case.
- Dies Differently in Adaptation: In canon, Athalie is executed by being eaten by Babette's familiar, while here, God summons a bolt of lightning to kill her as she is walking up the steps to Severin manor.
- Dropped a Bridge on Him: Athalie dies after being struck by a random bolt of lightning while walking up the stairs to the manor.
- Emoticon: Silvia has a ;) towards the end while telling Camille that she'll introduce her to some "cool lesbians".
- Forgotten Fallen Friend: Exagerrated. Avaline got over her mother's sudden death in what seems to be about a minute.
- Speak Ill of the Dead: Camille calls Athalie a "homophobic bitch" in front of her daughter right after Athalie died in front of them.
- This Explains So Much: Avaline tells Camille that her being lesbian explains a lot after Camille comes out.
