Dani's a world traveler, master escape artist and a clone of the world-famous superhero, Phantom. Making the most of her accidental existence, she adventures around the world. Her travels lead her to Bludhaven, where she bumps into some trouble with the law (aka Officer Dick Grayson) and later, the legendary superhero Nightwing.

Tropes:

  • Costume Evolution:
    • Danny's costume has changed a bit over the years, the white belt has some gadgets on it now, and there are some green accents to some areas of his suit. Dani even notes that it looks more obviously heroic.
    • When Dani finally transforms after she's been at Wayne Manor for a while in chapter 26, she finds that her costume has changed as well. For example, the "D" with a "P" inside has shifted to a "D" with a bat symbol inside.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: The Danny from the current timeline sacrifices himself to save Dani from Vlad, since Vlad wouldn't have stopped until one of them was dead, having been informed by the Danny from the timeline where Dani was killed.
  • Minor Crime Reveals Major Plot: A minor mission Danny has with the League has him discover that there's a secret operation involving shades going on, which he could only discover because his powers allowed him to see through the invisibility.
  • Noodle Incident: A number of Dani's adventures while Walking the Earth.
  • Not So Invincible After All: Dani compares what happened after Danny joined the Justice League to what happened with Superman; while they are both still powerful heroes, over time villains discovered different methods of affecting them.
  • The Power of Creation: Dani eventually unlocks this power.
  • Ship Tease: Between Dani and Arsenal.
  • Walking the Earth: What Dani did both before and after Danny stabilized her, prior to joining up with the Wayne clan in Gotham.
  • Weak, but Skilled: The time she spent on the verge of melting due to her instability means that Dani, even after being cured, rarely transforms if she can help it, preferring to use her powers only when necessary and through her human body. She's still pretty crafty when doing so though.
  • Willfully Weak: As mentioned under Weak, but Skilled, Dani prefers to use her powers sparingly, and prefers not to transform when she doesn't have to.
