- Mr. (Joey) Teaseceffa: Coined on Tumblr after a lot of teasing from the Teasing Creator about Season 4.
- The Idiot Savant: For Joey, after his role and his tendency to make stupid decisions, and also a Pun for the Trope.
- The Ultimate Cinnamon Roll: Rosanna
- Cthulhu: The Cursed God, after leaked pictures of him revealed him to resemble the character.
- Sometimes, he is also known as Cthulhu Squidward, courtesy of the Film Theory episode on the series, released on the same day as the first episodes of Season 4.
- Episode 9 Heartbreaker: The main death of Episode 9, due to the trend where a tearjerker death occurs.
Season 1
- In order to extract their respective parts of the antidote to save Shane in Episode 1, the groups formed have each received their own nicknames.
- Team Mountaintop: GloZell, Eva and Joey, who were supposed to look for the key hidden upon a "mountaintop".
- Team Book: Tim, Andrea, Justine and Sierra, who had to go through a Maths puzzle on a book to do their part.
- Team Box: Matt, Lele and Oli, who needed to maneuver objects in a box puzzle to do their part.
- The ExorSix: The Final 6 of the season (Joey excluded), who all happen to be alive in Episode 6 (where exorcisms are a common theme, as demonstrated by the title, 'Did Somebody Call For An Exorcist?').
- Nadeshit: Insult frequently used by Lele to annoy Matt. Comes from Matt's YouTube account called 'Nadeshot'.
Season 2
- Tana Montana: Tana, by Jesse behind the scenes.
- The TAT Alliance: The Episode 6 alliance of Tyler, Alex and Tana.
- The Pinky Alliance: Tyler and Joey, after they made an alliance in Episode 8 with a Pinky Swear.
Season 3
- Kerrie: A name for the unnamed Monster Clown leader. Her face is a Memetic Mutation. Also known as Meme Queen due to this.
- Team Panties: The trio captured to the RV by the Monster Clown gang in Episode 1 — Roi, Colleen and Joey. Named for a scene where they had to look for "delicates", i.e. panties, and resulting in some funny and iconic quotes.
- MRS: Fun with Acronyms for MatPat, Rosanna and Safiya. Probably the group most adored by the fandom.
- The Soul Siblings: Matt and Ro, since they are Platonic Life-Partners/Like Brother and Sister.
- Stupid Plot Twist™: An event — when Safiya was fishhooked by Willie in Episode 7. It has become a severe case of It Was His Sled, and remains the Berserk Button of many a fan.
- Mean Girls: Manny and Nikita. Joey compared them to this during Episode 8, and the fandom happily adopted the nickname. Are also known as the Sass Squad.
- Boy Scouts: Matt and Rosanna, from the same source.
- Troublesome Justice: Matt and Nikita
- From the beginning of the Possession AU, we have the Unlucky Number Twelve
series, wherein the Monster Clown gang are The Nicknamer and every YouTuber receives their own — other than Jc and Roi, who are known by their personas instead of a brand new nickname.- Little Orphan Annie: Rosanna
- Pretty Boy: Manny
