- Adaptation Relationship Overhaul: Blitzo, Stolas, and Stella are on much better with each other after discussing their relationship in between chapters.
- Bohemian Parody: Max, Charlie, Vaggie, and Verosika Mayday sing the titular Queen song while they drive to the Kilauea lookout as a reference to Wayne's World.
