• Don't value your life? Take a sip every time someone says "VRAINS".
• Take a sip every time someone says "Playmaker".
• Take a shot every time Yusaku/Playmaker quips "Sore wa dou kana?" ("I wonder about that." or "Are you sure about that?"). Take two if someone else says it.
• Take a shot every time someone says "But you still take the damage!" when their opponent's Monster isn't destroyed by battle due to a card effect.
• Take a shot every time Ai exclaims "Seize the wind, Playmaker!".
• Take a shot every time Ai invokes a pun using his own name. Do not under any circumstances carry this over to season 3 if you want an intact liver.
• Take a shot every time Revolver or any other Knight of Hanoi make some mention of terminating the Ignis.
• Take a shot every time someone activates their Skill.
  • Take two shots every time someone activates Storm Access.
  • Down your entire drink if someone activates their Skill during a Master Duel.
  • Finish your drink if a Speed Duel concludes with neither player activating their Skills.
• Take a sip every time someone Summons a Link Monster. For extra fun, take a number of sips equal to the Link Number of the Link Monster that is being Summoned. (It is highly inadvised to attempt this when someone Summons multiple Link Monsters in a row, especially if it's Yusaku/Playmaker doing it.)
• Down your drink every time Soulburner performs a Reincarnation Link Summon.
• Take a huge gulp if a Summoning method that isn't Link Summoning occurs.
• Take three shots every time "Judgment Arrows" is activated.
• Feeling suicidal? Take three sips every time the Rule of Three trope, or anything to do with the number three, comes into play. This includes (but is not limited to):
  • Yusaku listing three reasons when analysing situations or reading others.
  • Go Onizuka incorporating wrestling tropes in his Duels, part of which involves counts of 1-2-3.
  • Blue Angel's Trickstar Fraud Skill.
  • Blood Shepherd subverting the three count by firing at two.
• Drink for as long as someone recites a summoning chant.
• Take a sip every time someone's AI provides exposition (fair warning for Akira vs. Playmaker!). Take a shot if they point out the obvious.
• Finish your drink every time a Duel concludes with a One-Hit Kill. (This trope applies when the loser had at least 4000 LP at the time and all of it was depleted within a single turn, whether all in one go or multiple instances of damage.)
• Take a shot every time someone exclaims "Into the VRAINS!" when logging into LINK VRAINS.
• Drink for as long as any Transformation Sequence plays.
• Take a shot every time Frog blasts at Pigeon for addressing the former as "Yamamoto-senpai". Take two if he doesn't.
• Take a shot every time Yusaku tells Ai to shut up.
  • Take two shots if someone else tells Ai to shut up.
• Take a shot every time Ai talks/flirts with another AI.
• Take a shot every time Ai addresses Playmaker as "Playmaker-sama".
• Take a shot every time Kitamura freaks out.
• Take a shot every time Kitamura threatens to fire his subordinates or informs them that they're fired.
• Take a shot every time Aoi/Blue Angel/Blue Girl/Blue Maiden says "onii-sama".
• Take a shot every time an AI says "Idiot is a forbidden word.".
• Take a sip every time Dr. Genome makes any mention of DNA.
• Take three shots when you stumble into a Recap Episode.
• Take a shot whenever Ghost Girl mentions treasure or profit.
• Take a shot every time a Lost Incident/Hanoi Project flashback is shown.
• Down a full glass every time Revolver activates Mirror Force.
  • Down two full glasses every time Revolver activates a retro trap card you recognize^note These include Magic Cylinder and Imperial Order. Only do this when you are truly feeling suicidal.
• Take a shot every time Flame explains the meaning of his name.
• Take a shot every time Flame exclaims "Burn your soul, Soulburner!".
• Down a full glass every time Playmaker actually summons Firewall Dragon in a Duel.
• Take a shot every time Earth points out that he is socially awkward. (Warning: don't do this in his debut episode if you treasure your liver.)
• Take a shot every time somebody says "I know".
  • Double shot for the one time there is a "Ai don't know".
• Take a shot for every time two characters say each others name randomly.
  • Take two shots when they yell each others name.
    • Take three if more than 2 characters are involved.
• Take a shot whenever Ai pridefully says his name is Ai.
