- MSX Games:
- There is a funny typo (e.g. “I feel asleep!”)
- Metal Gear Solid 1:
- Snake repeats what someone just said to him in the form of a question.
- Snake is Captain Obvious (e.g. “a surveillance camera?!”)
- Liquid complains.
- Take two if his complaint is about Snake having “better genes” than him.
- Also take two whenever the complaint involves Artistic License – Biology.
- Meryl asserts how tough she is.
- The Twin Snakes:
- Snake does an absurd action stunt in a cutscene (e.g. jumping on a missile.)
- If going into it as a fan of the PSX version, take a drink whenever you dislike a change in the scene’s line delivery or music.
- Metal Gear Solid 2:
- Raiden complains.
- Rose calls to complain about relationship problems with Raiden.
- Drink continuously and wait until it’s over whenever she’s going on a particularly long tangent. You’ll need it.
- A new layer of the plot is revealed and everything becomes more confusing.
- Solidus says “The Patriots”.
- Metal Gear Solid 3:
- Snake goes “hmm”, “grm?”, or makes a similar sound.
- The Boss beats up Snake.
- There is a Call-Forward to one of Solid Snake’s games.
- Snake says the word “taste” or “tasty”.
- Metal Gear Solid 4:
- Nanomachines is used as an explanation.
- Someone comments on Snake’s accelerated aging.
- Drink continuously whenever Drebin is going through his dramatic explanations of the B&B Corps.’ backstories.
- Snake yells at Ocelot or vice versa.
- Take two if the word yelled is “LIQUID!” or “SNAKE!”
- The Whole Series:
- The fourth wall is broken.
- Snake, Raiden, or Big Boss is revealed to have been left out of the loop.
- Someone wets their pants.
- Take two if their last name is “Emmerich”.
- Johnny Sasaki or his grandfather has bowel problems.
- Down a whole bottle whenever Ocelot double-crosses someone. (Don’t worry, it tends to only be once or twice each game.)
- Spiritually engage in Drowning My Sorrows with Otacon by downing a whole bottle whenever someone that he loves dies. (This one also only happens once or twice per game at the most.)
- Take a sip every time he cries about it again afterward.
- Only take a sip whenever someone is being a Large Ham.
