- For the TV series overall:
- Take a drink every time Barney's voice actor(s) ad-libs a line.
- Take two drinks if he's humming or going "doo-doo-doo" as a song starts. We suggest you do not do this one with alcohol when it comes to seasons 4-6.
- Take a drink whenever Baby Bop runs into a problem involving her "blankie"
- Take a drink every time BJ whistles prior to his entrance.
- Take a drink whenever Barney (or any other character) does his Signature Laugh.
- Take a drink every time Baby Bop and BJ argue.
- Take a drink whenever something happens to the Barney doll before he morphs into his dinosaur form.
- In Seasons 4-6, take a drink every time Scooter messes something up.
- Down your bottle if Barney just appears out of nowhere without the doll being present or doesn't turn back into a doll at the end of the episode.
- Down your whole wine cellar if both occur in the same episode.
- Take a drink every time Barney's voice actor(s) ad-libs a line.
- For the Backyard Gang videos:
- Take a drink every time the "Shimbaree, Shimbarah" magic words are used.
- If you're really brave enough, chug your drink for every bout of Early-Installment Weirdness. Screw it, the ambulance can't save you.
- For the franchise in general:
- If you're brave enough, swig through an entire song.
- Go to the WMG page and drink for every theory that portrays Barney as a murderer and/or pedophile. Have an ambulance on speed dial if you go this route.
