Danganronpa: Ultimate Detention Center For Criminal Justice is a discord based roleplay set in the universe of Danganronpa. The story follows the tale of 16 Ultimates who have found themselves locked in prison and are given a chance to escape by playing and winning a killing game. The prisoners willingly sign themselves up for a killing game under the prospect of escaping prison and having their record wiped clean. When the warden reveals himself to be Monokuma, however, the killing game becomes much worse than intended.

- I'm a Doctor, Not a Placeholder: Inverted in that Yuu has some medical training, she just hates being called a doctor. Because her asshole dad was one.
Terra
Ultimate Cat
- Happily Adopted: G-4 took her in during the Valentines Day solitary. Then when he was executed, Yuu adopted Terra.
Marika Takeda
Ultimate Shogi Player
- Abusive Parents: Marika's dad was an alcoholic who resented her superior shogi skills. He later ended up killing her brother while drunk driving and got off scott free, leading Marika to plan her crime.
- Best Her to Bed Her: Marika started to warm up to Yoshiro after he managed to beat her in a game of Shogi.
- Murder Is the Best Solution: Contrary to Yoshiro's beliefs, Marika believe killing is always an option when you have limited resources. Which is why she killed her dad when no one else would punish him for drunkenly killing her brother.
- Smart People Play Chess: Marika's one of the smartest people in the prison. But don't let her catch you calling it chess.
Cyra Yaki

- Token Minority: The only Lesbian (Unfortunately for her love life).
- Alone Among the Couples: The only single prisoner at the game's end. (so long as Namba gets with Ami)
Yui Kimura
Ultimate Journalist
- Crucified Hero Shot: Literally. G-4 nailed her to a cross on the ceiling. The heroes found her days after she dehydrated to death.
- Kleptomaniac Hero: Yui stole a lot. Photos, files, information, Shogi boards, you name it, she took it. But she was on the more moral side of the spectrum compared to other prisoners.

- Forgettable Character: Yoshiro was the only one to notice that she had been missing for DAYS.
Kaguya Taniguchi
Ultimate Hitwoman
- Genki Girl: She was one of the more chipper prisoners at the start despite her profession. Subverted later when she committed the first murder on a whim and revealed her darker nature.
- Gun Nut: She LITERALLY has a room full of them
- It's What I Do: She joined this killing game for the sole purpose of fulfilling a hit on Arturio. She felt no remorse after the deed was done.

Yoshiro Amachi
Ultimate Conspiracy Theorist
- Heroic Vow: Yoshiro constantly vows to find the truth of the crimes and the UDCFCJ. And in 4/6 cases, he did!
- Heroic BSoD: After failing to realize Haruka was a killer, getting knocked out by Niniiro just before a murder and learning he had missed an entire trial, Yoshiro fell into a deep depression and lost faith in his investigative abilities. It took Isamu, Marika and a surprisingly nice G-4 to help him break out of his funk.
- Honesty Is the Best Policy: Yoshiro's a conspiracy theorist. Bringing the truth to light is his thing. So naturally, he's miffed when Niniiro, Isamu and Marika don't want to reveal everyone's secrets to nullify a motive.
- Improbable Weapon User: Yoshiro doesn't carry a gun, they're too easy to kill with. Instead, he has a secret compartment in his inhaler that holds a hypodermic needle drugged with elephant tranquilizers. Perfect for when he goes up against a larger opponent. Or for shutting Cyra up when she gets too annoying.
- Shower of Awkward: Yoshiro forgot to get sleep the day of the second trial, and he stunk to high heaven when he woke up, so he went to go shower. Unfortunately, he didn't hear the running water as he approached, and walked in on Marika still in the shower. He then proceeded to (badly) avoid being seen by her for the next few days. They made up eventually when Marika confronted him about his weird sneaking. And eventually ended up dating.
- Tap on the Head: Yoshiro got conked on the head by Niniiro just before a murder. He lived, but it caused him to black out periodically for hours on end.
- Thou Shalt Not Kill: Yoshiro HATES killing, even for hardened criminals. He sees it as a cop-out punishment, preferring long prison sentences and chances to reform. In reality, Yoshiro is traumatized from when he accidentally killed an attacker in self-defense, and doesn't want to think of the ethical ramifications of such actions.
Isamu Kawakami/Namba Ichiro
Ultimate Special Forces Policeman (real talent: Ultimate Ghost)
- Gentle Giant: Isamu is a hardened member of law enforcement and will not hesitate to use force, but he also bakes in his free time and is arguably the kindest prisoner in the UDCFCJ.
- The Watson: Isamu likes to follow Yoshiro around and help him investigate the murders.
- Professional Killer: Namba is really the Ultimate Ghost, having over 300 confirmed kills for criminals AND civillians. He regrets a lot of the stuff he's done and doesn't like to be reminded of the blood on his hands.
Ryuji Takahashi
Ultimate Pyromaniac
- Brother–Sister Incest: Routinely had sex with his little sister, Ami.
- Speech Impediment: Ryuji speaks in a slow, timid tone, with plenty of space between his words. This is later revealed to be fake to hide suspicion of his murder.
Pix-L/Satoshi Terada

- Heroic BSoD: After Niniiro was framed and executed, Saniiro shot himself and Everyone got trapped in G-4's lab, Pix-L became manic-depressive, started swearing more and wished for death. A wish he got when Ryuji murdered him a few days later.
- Trademark Favorite Food: Pix is always making sandwiches. ALWAYS.
Saniiro Hiromi

- Driven to Suicide: Killed himself after his twin brother and boyfriend were executed.
- Incest Subtext: Niniiro is obsessed with him. Saniiro may love Haruka more, though.

- Incest Subtext: Niniiro is almost weirdly obsessed with his brother. To the point of shooting people when Haruka slept with him.

Ultimate Escapist (real talent: actually talentless)
- All for Nothing: G-4 joined the killing game not only to wipe his slate clean but to end a second killing game by tallying the deaths. He forced each case to have a victim and a killer so that there wouldn't be any unwasted points. Unfortunately, the mastermind eventually executed him for killing Yui, leaving him only a few points short of ending the Shoreline Killing Game.
- Anti-Hero: G-4 to a tee. He antagonized the cast, actively encouraged participation in the killing game, caused the deaths of six people, and shot himself to trick people into thinking he was trying to kill Saniiro, thus putting suspicion on him, getting Arturio's killer - Kaguya - to slip up and accidentally out herself.
- Knowledge Broker: G-4 becomes this after stealing the entire cast's personal information within the first week. Further reinforced when he takes everyone except isamu, yuu, tadashi, marika and yui's ACTUAL personal files as well as the files of 50 people in an entirely different killing game.
- "The Reason You Suck" Speech: G-4 gives this speech twice. Once in Chapter 1 when he falsely admits to killing Arturio and again when he truthfully admits to helping Haruka kill Desiree.
- Shower of Angst: Happens after Saniiro shoots himself in his arms. Is swiftly interrupted by Cyra, who comments on G-4's "size" while he's naked.
- Villain Decay: Over the course of the game, G-4 becomes less and less dangerous as he warms up to the cast.
- Worthy Opponent: G-4 to Yoshiro at the end of the game.
