Darth Wiki / Tumblvengers

Go To

The Tumblvengers are a group of Tumblr roleplayers, comprising of a mix of canon characters and self-inserts. Not limited to merely Avengers characters, the group also contains people from numerous other media.

The Tumblvengers' main headquarters can be found here, where a small group of Agents regularly post mission and event summaries of what all the contributors have gotten up to that day.

This page is under construction by the Tumblvengers and will be added to shortly.

This show provides examples of:

  • Affectionate Nickname: "Frosty" for Loki.
  • Alternative Character Interpretation: Only to be expected from a group that contains three Lokis.
  • Ensemble Cast: The cast list is HUGE. And it only keeps getting bigger!
  • First Law of Gender Bending: Averted. Most instances of genderbending are the results of Magic Anon's messing with the cast, are generally of short duration, and nearly everyone is quite relieved to return to their original gender. That said, genderbending seems a popular choice of conditions granted by the Magic Anons
  • Hearing Voices: Doctor Otto Octavius hears the voices of his four AI-controlled tentacles Flo, Mo, Larry, and Harry. Puck and Owen Burnett hear the other when one of them is 'active'. Cletus Kasady and his daughter Carrie Kasady also hear such voices. McDead Pool also hears voices.
  • Jekyll & Hyde: As a result of a Magic Anon curse, the Tumblvengers switched between their good and evil sides for a few days.
  • Mega Crossover: The cast of Tumblvengers is quite varied, including no less than three Lokis, characters from numerous Marvel series, and even representatives from Gargoyles, The Phantom of the Opera, and My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic.
  • Shipper on Deck: While several of the characters fit the bill, Thorby is the most notable example. Queen is this to Otto and Ghost.
  • Talking to Themself: SilverGryphon's Doctor Octopus and Puck/Owen Burnett engage in this frequently, Frankenbolt's Black Bolt and Sylvia tend to avoid this but it happens.
  • Timey-Wimey Ball: Sylvia and VINNIS Mark 4 are both from a future where all of the Tumblvengers are dead, but they both have gone back in time to the present, which is confusing sometimes. It also means that all of the Tumblvengers are going to die sometime. There are also children, from a future timeline where certain characters have had kids, who frequently travel back in time to stir up trouble.
  • Breaking the Fourth Wall: All the time. Especially when talking to their Creators. They occasionally complain about having to clean up the broken fourth wall.
  • Daddy's Little Villain: Lydia Nygma, daddy's girl from the future. Cunning, snobby, and utterly convinced she should be a villain like her father despite meeting him once at the age of 8 when he kidnapped her.
  • Dead Pan Snarker: A lot of the humor is from the pure snarkiness erupting from the characters. The worst offenders are Black Bolt, Meg Stark, and Agent 19.
