A strange Urban Fantasy mix somewhere between Supernatural Soap Opera, Police Procedural, and Hunter/ Occult Detective fiction , Trespass follows the story a close-knit team employed in a supernatural law-enforcement agency in the near future. The agency isn't filled with hunters, however. It's filled mostly with the "monsters" themselves, vampires, shape-shifters, witches and were-folk among other kinds of creatures, policing their own kind in a city that's been made specially for them by the UN, away from the general unknowing human population.

The City of Veritas is where the protagonist, a human named Jonathan Foster, heads one of the many teams tasked with completing varying missions, assignments, and cases, which have to be bargained for and received by the team's manager and Jon's closest friend, a vampire named Benji Ceirto. Their group is rounded off by the tech expert/ strategist and half-humannote  telekinetic, Gregory Lake; a no-nonsense tide serving as the intel and combat expert, Renee Danforth; and Ophelia Messier, a young wereraven new to the Masquerade (and her therianthropy) who has an astounding aptitude for magic. Together, they tackle whatever job their superiors deem them prepared enough to take. If they succeed in the potentially difficult cases, their reputation can increase and they can get the higher-profile jobs.

When a mission goes horribly wrong, resulting in the death of one of their long-time colleagues and the loss of some very important damning documents, Jon is flung headlong into a mystery involving the illusive "Shining Man" whom no one else saw or truly believes exists.

This currently non-existent work contains examples of:

  • The Future: Or more accurately, the story takes place somewhere between 20 Minutes into the Future and The Future, from the twenty-seventies to the twenty-nineties. It's too difficult to travel to other solar systems without a ton of effort and laser weapons aren't too practical yet, but androids, space bases, and holographic technologies are pretty common.
  • The Masquerade: The job of SBC employees is to do their absolute best to keep the existence of the supernatural hidden from the 93% of the population of the Earth that doesn't know it exists, while also being a protective and policing organization for its inhabitants, all at the order of the UN.
  • Our Vampires Are Different
  • Our Werebeasts Are Different
  • Psychic Powers: Half-humans usually have some kind of psychic ability, depending on what species their parents were.
    • Lorayen also have a general aptitude for psychic matters. Witches too, but to a lesser extent.
  • Tiger Versus Dragon: Jon and Benji.
