The Professor is a work-in-progress novel by Aiko Heiwa. The novel involves two teachers whom get involved in a plot to save the entire universe involving an alien and his daughter. Chapter 1 can be read here

The Professor contains examples of:
- Creepy Monotone: The Skal drones speak with an entirely electronical and emotionless voice.
- Ditzy Genius: Both the Professor and his daughter have shades of this.
- Embarrassing Middle Name: Tina Fryman's real name is Clarabelle Lee Fryman.
- Even Evil Has Standards: While the Skalsare a race which views themselves as the ultimate point of evolution and want to turn all other races into them, they find species which completely want to destroy other species utterly disgusting. In addition, they never kill unarmed captives.
- Expy: The Skals are ones of the Daleks and Cybermen from Doctor Who.
- Human Aliens: The Professor's species look identical to humans on the surface.
- No Indoor Voice: While most of the Skals are perfectly capable of speaking normally, the large black Skal always speaks in a loud and booming voice.
- Shout-Out: Professor Fryman mentions Gallifrey when thinking of a planet to show Susan and Alfred
