The Awkwardverse is a group of stories written by Secret Fan 14 about a group of college students (a witch, a cyborg, and a guy with a hockey stick). They do magic, take down nearby supervillains, and attempt to finish their homework on time.

The teens in question are:

  • Lacie Flynn: A transfer from jolly old England. Lacie seems to think of her life as a sappy YA novel or tween drama, where she has the power to drag people out of their problems with a rousing speech and a smile. Though she may mostly be trying to convince herself more than anyone else. She had been rebuilt to make people happy, after all. Also, her real name is Deborah.
  • Rachel Shinde: As self-professed nerdy trash, Rachel spends most of her free time watching cartoons, reading fantasy novels, eating, and surfing the net. Look up anxiety and self-loathing in the dictionary and you'll see her face. She's also a witch, which doesn't help matters much.
  • Tyler Leung: The Only Sane Man most of the time, Tyler has to balance out Rachel's emotional instability, Lacie's stubborn naivete, Joey's arrogance, Macie's vicious streak, Christine's temper, and the fact that he can't remember the other one's name. Mind you, he's not that above it all (he's got some annoying Insufferable Genius tendencies), but Tyler seems to be the most well-adjusted of the bunch.

Their common enemies and rivals for a good deal of the series:

  • Joseph Boon: Your average overconfident jackass freshman and the son of the CEO to your average megalomaniac evil corporation.
  • Christine Nolan: Joey's right hand girl, known for her athletic prowess and her temper. Thankfully immune to romantic nonsense as the group aroace.
  • Zachary Delveccio: Childhood friends with Joey and Christine. Small, skinny, super smart, and super sarcastic. They've also got a massive crush on Joey that they've been hiding for years.
  • Macie Weber: Christine's stepsister, and your garden-variety Beta Bitch, floundering a bit after her alpha abandoned her for college. Relishing being away from her mother.
