Of Robots and Men is a Time Squad fanfic made by cosmothediclonius. The story involves Time squad fighting against a new threat named the Machines of Liberties, an organization planning to reduce humanity into slavery, ruled over by robots. The story is considerably Darker and Edgier than the original show but the story and characters make it worth it.
Of Robots and Men provides examples of:
- Abusive Parents: Giselle's master. Jasmine's too. They killed them in return
- Adaptational Heroism: Jt Lazer and Lance. They were jerks in the show, if not outright villains. Here, they are active heroes and are displaying care for (at least) each other.
- Adaptational Intelligence: Larry was sort of intelligent in the show though here, he manages to convince Alice to give up on the Machines of Liberty
- Ambiguously Bi: Larry, unlike his Camp Gay original version. Even though his relationship with Alice is ambiguous, he ends up with Tuddrussel on the Finale
- Ambiguous Gender: Prometheus. At the beginning, characters wonder if it is male or female. It is implied he is male
- Action Girl: Giselle, Jasmine, Alice and Sheila.
- Anguished Declaration of Love: XJ5 at Sheila
- Anti-Hero: Type III or IV for Alice and Vincent, while Giselle and Jasmine are more type IV.
- Ax-Crazy: Freya. Giselle to one extent.
- Babies Ever After: Vincent and Alice adopt a Russian girl named Anya.
- Benevolent Boss: Prometheus. cares for his fellow robots and genuinely wants the best for them. Though it is over when said robots made a Heel–Face Turn.
- Big Bad: Prometheus.
- Big Brother Instinct: Larry counts this to both Alice and Giselle. Literally for Giselle, once it is revealed they actually are siblings, sharing the same creator
- Big Damn Kiss: Alice and Vincent.

- Computer Virus: Some robots are infected with one. Lance, XJ5 and later Giselle and Larry.
- Dark and Troubled Past: Alice's parents had been killed by Time squad leader to make her cyberized. Giselle was also abused by her master in Time squad, leading her to kill him

- Domestic Abuse: Giselle suffered this, as well as Jasmine to a lesser extent. It is implied Vincent suffered because of Alice's guardian, never accepting their relationship.
- Forgiven, but Not Forgotten: Once Alexis is reprogrammed, others characters forgive him for what he did as Prometheus though they are still distrustful of him. Sheila also is not ready to forgive him completely.
- Friend to All Children: It is implied that Alexis had a soft spot for children, especially for Sheila when younger. Alice and Vincent also love children.
- Future Me Scares Me: XJ5 is infected with a viruse which would lead him going berserk and attacking anyone close to him. Later Giselle and Larry get the viruse, though fortunately they find the cure in time.
- The Heart: Larry and Otto.
- Heel–Face Turn: Alice, Vincent, Giselle and Jasmine. Prometheus too
- Heroic BSoD: Jt Lazer after Lance lost his memories. Alice too, once she regained her memories.
- Heroic Sacrifice: Vincent saves Otto from a brainwashed Lance. He got better though.
- Interspecies Romance: A lot. Alice and Vincent, Sheila and XJ5, Tuddrussel and Larry and possibly Jt Lazer and Lance.
- It's Personal: Everyone wishes to see Prometheus destroyed, but Sheila seems to take it on a more personal level because her mother helped in his creation.

- The Lost Lenore: Siren was this to Prometheus, though she is later brought back to life

- Morality Pet: Larry and Vincent toward Alice. Jasmine for Giselle as well.
