Earth 14 is an upcoming web comic created by Aviarius. It takes place in a futuristic Earth that had gotten mostly peaceful over the years thanks to the efforts of their superheroes, known as The Guild of Heroes. An Earthling named Val Halen is soon offered the chance to join an intergalactic organization of peacekeepers known as the Prism, and for the sake of trying something different in life, she accepts.

This web comic has examples of:

  • Alternate Universe: The main story takes place in the 14th designated universe of a vast Multiverse containing hundreds of known universes.
  • Big Bad: The Children of the Void, a large group of alien cultists with Religious Horror thrown into the mix.
  • Big Good: The Guild of Heroes for Earth, and The Prism on an intergalactic scale.
  • Blush Sticker: Val always had one as a little kid to add to hir Keet personality.
  • The Chosen Many: All members of The Prism, which number at thousands.
  • Fiction 500: Halen Tech
  • The Future: Earth 14 is set in a present that’s much more technologically advanced, with flying cars, spaceships, teleporters and such being commonplace.
  • Neural Implanting: With the technology being advanced enough to have this be commonplace, most people have it done to be able to carry out tasks such as speaking certain languages or operating certain vehicles when they need or want to.
  • No Poverty: Earth is among the many planets that achieved this. However when some of the characters actually go to worlds where poverty is still an issue, most of them are at a loss at what to do as they’ve never even heard of it before.
  • Our Ghosts Are Different: Deceased friends and loved ones can come back from the dead to spend time with living relatives to either bring closure, or to simply visit for a day or two. The only thing that separates them from the living is their Blank White Eyes. Only those that were good people in life and ascended to a higher plane of existence are able to do this.
  • Psychoactive Powers: All of those born under the light spectrum have this, as the strength and efficiency of their respective powers depends on how the user feels.
  • Randomly Gifted: All members of the Prism were born under the light spectrum, meaning they were born with light based powers that they discover at different points in their life.

Val Halen / Blue Lantern 2814
Val Halen is one of the main protagonists of Earth 14. Being highly androgynous in appearance, many people tend to confuse Val's gender. He/she is very calm and level-headed. Val is also a professional snowboarder, having gotten famous at only 11 years old. Having grown bored with pretty much everything, Val hesitantly jumped at the call and became the Blue Lantern of Sector 2814.
  • Hidden Depths: In spite of being a perpetual frowning cynical snark knight, Val is still capable of using the blue ring, which only functions when the user has genuine hope.
  • Missing Mom: The identity remains unknown.
    Prince Avalon/ Blue Lantern 2813
Avalon is the crown prince of planet Mogura and is the youngest of three children. After his planet had been invaded Avalon had joined one of the resistance groups and helped to finally liberate his people. His ability to inspire hope in others was what led him to being chosen by Sister Seraphim of the Blue Lanterns to become the Blue Lantern of Sector 2813. His sector partner in the Green Lantern Corps is his childhood friend Damas Vigrid.
  • Nice to the Waiter: He shares this trait with his entire family. They treat everyone as equals, which is why the populace adores them so much.
  • Royals Who Actually Do Something: He and his siblings joined one of Mogura’s resistance groups when the planet got invaded. Then he gets chosen to be a Blue Lantern.
  • Space Elves: Type I. All Mogurans have pointy ears and blue skin.

     Damas Vigrid/ Green Lantern 2813
Damas is a friendly no-nonsense guy from planet Mogura. At a young age he was accepted into one of the planet’s most elite schools and it was there that he would go on to meet prince Avalon and form a powerful friendship. The two had become nearly inseparable. Many years later Damas had joined Avalon in helping to defeat the invaders from their home world. In the final confrontation Damas had finally let go of his fears and it was at that moment that a green power ring chose him. He is now the Green Lantern of sector 2813, with Prince Avalon being his Blue Lantern sector partner.

  • Action Duo: This is pretty much a given for all green lanterns and their sector partners, or comrades in general. Avalon is more laid back while Damas is more confrontational.
  • Child Prodigy: At age 6 he was accepted into one of the planet’s most elite schools after he had taken an entrance exam out of boredom. He was also a Scholarship Student and lived in the dorms up until graduation.
  • Space Elves: Type I. All Mogurans have pointy ears and blue skin.
    Helia Arugante / Green Lantern 2814. 5
Born and raised in Aquarius, Helia was used to always getting what she wanted from her loving parents. Rather than being grateful to her kind folks Helia grew into a horrible spoiled brat who would go on to bully others she deemed inferior to herself. Deep down she had the potential to do good and overcome fear, hence why she was chosen to be a Green Lantern. Rather than taking it as a second chance to improve herself, Helia instead got worse and would go on to insult anything that moved long enough. Her stuck-up demeanor would be put to the test after she got paired up with Blue Lantern Val Halen.

  • Hidden Depths: She was chosen to be a Green Lantern for a reason. Helia has the capacity to better herself but that has yet to be seen.
  • Irrational Hatred: Her biggest targets are the Blue Lanterns. To her they shouldn't even be considered a real corps and calls them leeches for being dependent on Green Lanterns.
