Argos. A country with rich diversity in ethnicity, flora, fauna, and culture. It was once thought of as a paradise, merging the old with the new. But something happened. Cases of corruption have surfaced, and many have been pleaded guilty. Crime rates surged, and the country soon experienced bankruptcy. The people have started revolting, and the chaos has reached a grand scale.
An is living a peaceful life. Sure, she's living near the outskirts of town,sure, the soldiers are complete dicks to her every time they get the chance, and sure, she has to survive by adapting to her surroundings, but it was a life she was satisfied with. And then he came along.
Enter Dan. A naive, and fun loving boy, who somehow brings trouble everywhere he goes. His goal is to go to certain cities and...that's all she knows. It is not told why he wants to do this, but nonetheless, he will do anything to reach his goal, even if he is hindered by the bounty on his head. Why is there a bounty on his head? What does he want to do in those cities? It's not made clear at first, but after a deal with An, after saving her life from a gang, she has no choice but to tag along with the cheerful kid.
The plot as a whole, is a deconstruction of a magical adventure, in which you visit towns, and fight wacky minor villains, building up to a main villain. Every town they visit has some sort of darkness behind it, and even the oneshot villains affect "hero's" adventures. These events gradually affect the main protagonists, and their main colors begin to shine. All these events cause chain reactions, and eventually affect the tone of the series, slowly.
