"Impossible is an illusion. Boundaries are a choice. The sky isn't the limit- it's a threshold. Inevitable isn't a law- it's a challenge."
~ Rosario's last words

Celestial Guard is a hypothetical Magical Girl Warrior anime 'made' by Blizzardeye Wonder.

The Celestial Guard are a group of Magical Girls, recruited from across dimensions, to protect The Multiverse from Pandora's Creatures. These magical girls all get their powers from their own 'Wandering Star', a eight-pointed-star-shaped pendant. However they had gotten themselves into some trouble.Rosarionote  was a supposed orphan from our Earth. For a long time, she led the Celestial Guard through countless battles and tribulations against Pandora's Creatures. However, she one day disappeared after challenging the 'ringmaster', the monstrous form of Pandora herself, to a duel. It was not in vain, as she had managed to severely weaken Pandora and stave off the multiverse being totally devoured by negative energy for a another thousand years. But without her leadership, the Guard spiraled into a mess. Today, it is nowhere near what it was in its glory days.

Meet Sadako Miyazaki. She is a cynical 3rd year middle school student, who is known around the school for being the top student in her class and part of the archery team. Her best friend, Madoka Hoshikuzu is less accomplished, but more of a cautiously optimistic person. There's also Sakiko (or just Saki), Sadako's unusually frail little sister. One day, Madoka and Sadako encounter a strange young woman who 'gifts' them pendants shaped like eight-pointed stars. Perhaps coincidentally, the next day, Tokyo was attacked by... something. There also seemed to be a young red-haired Magical Girl and her companion fending it off. After Saki gets involved in the whole mess, their Big Sister Instinct kicks in, resulting in the pendants activating, and giving the girls some new powers. After the whole thing has been done with, the girl- named Pallas- and her porcupine- Medley- explain the purpose of their new pendants and powers, as well the Guard. She then urges them to join, noting that there are other creatures like the one that attacked that need to be stopped. Madokareadily accepts, while Sadako isn't interested. Medley then promises that joining will grant protection for both her and Saki, which sways her into accepting. So begins their adventures with Pallas, along with two American girls they are assigned with at the Guard's base, Melissa and Amelia. However, things start to get complicated after a brush with a certain fae ruler...

The Types of Wandering Stars and Guards

Phoenixes

Known for being particularly passionate and emotional, Phoenixes are Guardians with an affinity for fire, and general Area-of-Effect type attacks. A Pheonix that manages to condense their emotions into a single burst can create lightning effects. Pheonix Guardians with this ability are known as Thunderbirds.

  • Detect Evil: Those who specialize in divination can do this, to detect eldritch influence.
  • Energy Being: What corrupted regular Phoenixes AKA Efreet become.
  • Hot-Blooded: Practically a requirement.
  • Playing with Fire: What their magic focuses on.
  • Our Genies Are Different: Zig-zagged. Phoenixes who've corrupted all of their stardust into mist become large, fire based... things. These corrupted Pheonixes are called Efreet, who are a type of Jinn in Arabian mythology. These Efreet are almost mindless, destructive, and never good news. However, they're only called that because no one has any better of a word for what they are.
  • Shock and Awe: It requires quite a bit of concentration, but some Phoenixes- now known as Thunderbirds- have achieved this effect.
  • The Phoenix: It's right in the name. If they use their stardust for transmutation purposes, a guard of this type can turn into a literal one, at least for a short period of time. Some can also summon one in battle.
  • Valkyries: Out Valkyries are different though. Corrupted Thunderbirds keep their humanoid form more or less unlike the normal Phoenixes, but otherwise suffer the same effects as them. Plus, the resulting creature has lightning abilities. They are named Valkyries because seeing one means almost certain death for you is coming. Most guardians wouldn't be caught dying defenseless though, so most of them die fighting it. This reflects the mythological Valkyrie's role of bringing warriors to the afterlife.
