Yuhua Hamasaki (born Yuhua Ou on March 1st 1990) is a Chinese-American Drag Queen, actor and singer. They're most well-known for their appearance on the tenth season of RuPaul's Drag Race, where they placed twelfth.

Born in Guangzhou, China, Yuhua moved to New York City at the age of seven. Their drag career began in the Club Kid scene where they performed under the mononymous name, Yuhua, before added Hamasaki to the end after their idol, Japanese singer Ayumi Hamasaki.

Yuhua appeared as one of several drag queens on stage during Katy Perry's performance of Swish Swish on Saturday Night Live in 2017 before her run on RuPaul's Drag Race. She is also well-known for her YouTube channel, in particular her series, Bootleg Fashion Photo Ruview (now known as Bootleg Opinions): a self-published version of WOWPresents' show, Fashion Photo Ruview, where she and various guests critique the runway looks presented on Drag Race.

Yuhua is known for her fantastic seamstress and outfit designing skills, creating costumes and fashion for other drag queens including Bob The Drag Queen, Aquaria and Aja.

Yuhua Hamasaki provides examples of the below tropes:

  • Blatant Lies: Will often say that they won the tenth season of RuPaul's Drag Race (or even all seasons) despite actually placing twelfth.
  • Bunny-Ears Lawyer: As noted, don't let her downright weird personality diminish her excellent skills as a seamstress. Best demonstrated in the WOWPresents' tutorial miniseries Sew What, or in Bootleg Opinions when she gives on-point critiques about an outfit's construction.
  • Cloud Cuckoo Lander: Has an off-beat strange sense of humour but is very quick-witted and smart.
  • Interchangeable Asian Cultures: Their ethnic background is Chinese but they took the surname Hamasaki for their drag name, which is Japanese. She Lampshades this seconds after her grand entrance in the Werkroom of RuPaul's Drag Race:
Yuhua: Well, you’re not a real woman either!
  • Shoddy Knockoff Product: The meaning intended for Bootleg Fashion Photo Ruview/Bootleg Opinions, a review show which unashamedly imitates WOWPresents' official one, complete with creaky wooden sign titles. Nevermind that many fans find Bootleg Opinions more thorough and entertaining than the later seasons of Fashion Photo Ruview.
