Victor Jory (November 23, 1902 – February 12, 1982) was a Canadian-American stage, screen, and voice actor.
Born in the Yukon to American parents, he wrestled and boxed before settling on acting as a career. An early career highlight was playing Oberon – King of the Fairies in William Dieterle’s film production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. He went on to appear in Gone with the Wind and play The Shadow in a 1940 serial. In later years he featured in films such as The Miracle Worker and Papillon, as well as doing a great deal of television.
Jory was married to actress Jean Inness and the couple had two children.
