Thomas Daniel "Tim" Conway (December 15, 1933 – May 14, 2019) was an American actor, comedian, writer, and director best known for McHale's Navy, The Carol Burnett Show, SpongeBob SquarePants, and The Private Eyes.
After serving in the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1958, he performed on local television in Cleveland, where he formed a popular comedy team with Ernie Anderson. After moving to New York, he got his break when he landed a slot as a regular on The Steve Allen Show.
He was married to Mary Anne Dalton and Charlene Fusco Del Sardo Beatty and had six children.
Conway died at the age of 85 from complications of hydrocephalus.
