Euphemia LatiQue Sumpter, professionally known as Tika Sumpter (born June 20, 1980, in Queens, New York City) is an American actor, producer and model. Sumpter is known for her starring roles in the series Tyler Perry's The Haves and the Have Nots, mixed•ish, and playing Michelle Robinson Obama in Southside With You. She has also playing a recurring main role in the Sonic the Hedgehog films since 2020.
Sumpter has one daughter, Ella-Loren, born in 2016. In 2022, she married actor and The Haves and the Have Notes co-star Nicholas James.
