The Six Idiots is the collective Fan Nickname for the Production Posse of British comedians and actors who first came together for Horrible Histories. Ever since that show folded, the group has been involved in numerous other historically-tinged comedy projects. The eponymous sextet are Jim Howick, Simon Farnaby, Mathew Baynton, Ben Willbond, Laurence Rickard, and Martha Howe-Douglas.
Projects the group has worked on:
- Horrible Histories: A live-action Sketch Comedy adaptation of Terry Deary's eponymous books. Featuring anachronistic references while also flashing "Not Making This Up" disclaimers due to how weird history really tends to be.
- Yonderland: A fantasy show that mixes live-action with puppets to create what's described as a Labyrinth-meets-The Mighty Boosh blend of adventure, excitement and of course total silliness.
- Bill: The group's first feature film. William Shakespeare is kicked out of a lute-band and decides to become a playwright and ends up as a patsy for a plot to kill Queen Elizabeth I and has to stop it.
- Ghosts (UK): The group's first project aimed toward an adult audience. A young couple inherits an old house and discover that it contains the spirits of numerous people who have died on the grounds. The group are also the executive producers for its American remake.
