Dmitry Aleksandrovich Karpov (April 13, 1993) is Sienduk (Сыендук, also known as "sndk"), a Russian content creator, best known for his YouTube channel note , where he does reviews of video games, cartoons, and a lot of more niche things, like cereal boxes, croutons and bubblegums. Other content includes animations, parodies, "conspiracy analysis" of animated shows and so on.

Sienduk also has a more professional career in voice acting and translating. It started with various non-profit Voiceover Translations of English Web Animations, such as asdfmovie, Sonic Shorts and Sonic for Hire, as well as the unofficial voiceover of Gravity Falls, which skyrocketed him to popularity and gave him some experience in voice acting. His voiceover of Rick and Morty that he worked on since December 2013 also started as a fan dub, but later got picked up by 2x2 channel and became the official dub of the series. Since then, he had various prominent voice roles over the years.

In December of 2018 he opened a "Geek Trip" store in St. Petersburg (Which would later be visited by Arino of Retro Game Master in one of the episodes. Yes, that really happened.) and became a curator of Adult Animation on Kinopoisk in April of 2021. A year later, he and Egor announced that one of their animated projects, The Explainersons (Объяснялкины) will become an official series and is planned to be released on Kinopoisk's streaming service in 2023.

Fun fact: Back when he used to play Counter-Strike 1.6, his nickname used to be CStyler. He accidentally typed it on the Russian keyboard layout instead of an English one, liked the end result ("sienduk") and adopted it as his current nickname.

Sienduk's official voice acting roles include:

Tropes related to Sienduk:

  • Acting for Two: Very prominent in his videos, where he's more often than not is the voice of every single character. Then there's his unofficial voiceovers of Rick and Morty note , Star vs. the Forces of Evil, and Gravity Falls note , where he's the only voice actor.
  • Casting Gag: His appearance as An Inventor in Kit And Kate is very fitting, since the character is a direct Shout-Out to Rick Sanchez, who Dmitry also voiced.
  • invoked Contest Winner Cameo: How he got the role of Ross in The Angry Birds Movie. Sony held a contest hyping up to the movie's release, where a winner would get to voice a character in the Russian dub.
  • Man of a Thousand Voices: As shown by his dubs and even plenty of his videos, he can voice quite a lot of characters. His voiceover of Rick and Morty is perhaps the biggest demonstration of this, as he voices everyone and gives each character a unique voice to match their personality.
  • Mascot: His channel uses a treasure chest with tentacles as such. This is due to his nickname being very similar to a Russian word for "treasure chest" (Sunduk)
  • invoked Promoted Fanboy:
    • He is known for being a huge fan of Sonic the Hedgehog, with him starting to make various fan works of the series long before his YouTube channel was even created. He has since done an official work for the series, assisting with a translation of an IDW comic books based on the franchise and voicing the titular character in the Russian dub of the second film note
    • His role as Alt in Fixies vs Crabots can also be considered this, given that he considers The Fixies to be one of the few decent cartoons from The New Russia and made 3 popular videos about it. One of them became his single most viewed video at over 60 million views, and was the most popular Russian YouTube video in 2019. The other one was acknowledged by the creators of the show - they liked the video and thought that Karpov is a very talented person, so they invited him to their studio and gave an opportunity to voice one of their characters.
Sienduk: (reading a question he received on Twitter) "How were you invited to voice a new Fixie?" Oh, listen, I never hid the fact that I like Fixies, and it's not that I watch them, but it's a shamelessly good domestic project. And it's cool that they decided to shove in my cameo, despite my videos [not being in the best light about the show]. So yeah, they just emailed me, and I was like, "Wow, I can see The Fixies headquarters? I'm all yours!"
    • His Voiceover Translation of Rick and Morty, which started as a fan dub, and later became the official Russian dub of the series.
