Sho Shibamoto (柴本翔, born December 4th, 1987) is a mangaka known for his unique art style and stories set in his Crapsaccharine World of Funny Animals Verse.

His manga, in chronological order:

Sho Shibamoto and his works provide examples of:

  • Author Appeal: Voluptuous fox women with big breasts. One (Now outdated) piece of art lampshades this, featuring a list of his characters who fit this category. Candy Whip, a Hot Teacher and one of the "Boobie Foxes" on said list, looks at it and notes that there's too many.
  • Crapsaccharine World: His Verse takes place in a colorful world free of internal strife, but is regularly attacked by the Sky Golems, seemingly invincible machines with high destructive power. Prior to the end of Pandemonium, racism was also strong against any Variants or Rare Ones. And even in Dakini, there are still people who show prejudice against them.
  • Dream Stealer: The titular character in Baku, though not naturally. Dr. Hell constructed a machine called 'Naglfar' to allow Baku to enter people's nightmares and consume them to cure his insomnia.
  • Foxy Vixen: A recurring element across Sho Shibamoto's works, and his Author Appeal mentioned above. Any featured fox character in his works is almost always a Ms. Fanservice, often drawn with a well-endowed chest, skimpy clothing, or both.
  • Tanuki/Kitsune Contrast: Another recurring element in Sho Shibamoto's works, given that there are several characters of his that follow this theme.
  • Token Human: Dr. Hell in Baku. There are potentially still other humans in the world besides her, but very few even survived the Sky Golems.
