Samantha Bond (born November 27, 1961 in Kensington, London) is an English actress.
A Royal Shakespeare Company member, she's best known for having played the third Moneypenny in the James Bond film series of Eon Productions (which doesn't lack of irony with her surname), succeeding Caroline Bliss and lasting all four movies of the Pierce Brosnan era. She attended Godolphin and Latymer School, in the year below the aforementioned Caroline Bliss.
Her other notable roles include being the first Elizabeth "Miz Liz" Probert in Rumpole of the Bailey and the wealthy widow/sister of the Earl of Grantham Lady Rosamund Painswick in Downton Abbey.
She's married to actor Alexander Hanson since 1989.
