Other

This creator and her work provide examples of:

  • Epistolary Novel: The Villa includes some quotes from Lilith Raising and also from various articles and books about it and its fictional author, Mari Godwick.
  • Pen Name: "Erin Sterling" is her pen name for adult romance.
  • What Could Have Been: There were plans for a third Royals book, but sales for the first two weren't high enough to seal the publishing deal. It would have had Seb as the love interest, Nicola as the main character, Alex and Ellie's wedding, and a road trip.
  • Word of Gay: Within the Royals series, there's no indication of Miles or Seb being into guys, while Daisy has at most a couple of Ambiguously Bi moments. The author has since stated (in response to a fan question on Twitter) that Daisy is bi, that Miles and Seb have kissed at least once (though Miles doesn't like labels), and that "Basically everyone in my books is Not Straight to varying degrees."
  • Working Title:
    • Prince Charming, the first book in the Royals series, was first published as Royals. Before that, it had a working title of "We'll Never Be Royals''.
    • The Wife Upstairs was originally "Mrs. Rochester".
    • Before the title was announced for The Ex Hex, the author often referred to it on Twitter as "Hocus Pocus (But They F***)".
    • Reckless Girls was originally referred to as "Boat Murder".
