Penny Irving, born Marie Tricki (born 1942), is a British actress and former Page Three Stunna best known for playing Miss Bakewell on Are You Being Served?.
She was a Page Three model for The Sun, a career which started by having her picture taken by amateur photographers in a pub owned by a friend. Her break-out role was as Ann-Marie in House of Whipcord.
That same year, she had a small role in Carry On Dick. After a clash with director Gerald Thomas, Irving's agent asked if she could do another Carry On film, only for Thomas to reply, "Don't mention her name to me again".
Irving is most well known for playing Young Mr. Grace's beautiful secretary between Series 4 and 7 of Are You Being Served?. She played the same character with a different name in the 1977 film spin-off. After AYBS?, director David Croft used her in a later sitcom of his, Hi-de-Hi!. Irving left Hi-de-Hi! after one series, claiming it wasn't funny.
She hasn't been in showbusiness since the early '90s, but still makes time to talk about her career with fans.
