Paris Barclay (June 30, 1956 in Chicago, Illinois) is an American director, producer, and writer.

Barclay's career in the entertainment industry began in the late 1980s, when he directed several music videos, including LL Cool J's video for "Mama Said Knock You Out". In the early 1990s, he began directing television episodes, quickly establishing himself as a talented and innovative director.

Over the course of his career, Barclay has directed episodes of numerous critically acclaimed shows, including ER, NYPD Blue, The West Wing, Lost, and Glee. He has been nominated for a total of 11 Emmy Awards, winning two for his work on NYPD Blue.

In addition to his work in television, Barclay has also directed several films, including Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood and the TV film The Cherokee Kid. He has also been active in theater, writing and composing for several musicals.

In addition to his impressive body of work, Barclay has also been a trailblazer for LGBTQ+ representation in the entertainment industry. He was the first African-American and openly gay person to be elected President of the Directors Guild of America, and has been an outspoken advocate for LGBTQ+ rights and representation in Hollywood.
