Nuri Bilge Ceylan (born January 26, 1959) is a Turkish director who makes slow-burning psychological dramas.
The Cannes Film Festival never failed to appreciate him and he won prizes with every film that he presented there. Finally in 2014 he earned Palme d'Or with Kis Uykusu.
