Norman Frederick Jewison CC (July 21, 1926 – January 20, 2024) was a Canadian director, producer, writer, and founder of the Canadian Film Centre, best known for In the Heat of the Night, The Cincinnati Kid, and Moonstruck.
He was married to Margaret Ann Dixon and Lynne St. David, and had three children with Dixon.
Oh, and despite his surname, he wasn't Jewish — he was a Protestant Christian.
