Neil Jordan (born February 25, 1950) is an Irish film director, screenwriter, producer, and author.
Having spent his career operating in a wide variety of genres and locations (though Fantasy Films, especially of the dark kind, make up a large proportion of his filmography), he is perhaps best known for directing The Crying Game (for which he won the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay), Interview with the Vampire, and Michael Collins, and for creating the Showtime television series The Borgias.
