Moto Hagio (born May 12, 1949) is a member of Year 24 Group. Together with Keiko Takemiya, she is credited with pioneering the Boys' Love Genre, as well as popularising women's science fiction manga. Her art style is famously intricate, symbolic, and carefully considered. Her works are often characterised by emotional struggle, generally connected to family, health, or social expectations. They also show remarkably good research.
