Michael J. Pollard (born Michael John Pollack Jr.; May 30, 1939 – November 20, 2019) was an American actor best known for Bonnie and Clyde, Melvin and Howard, Dick Tracy, and House of 1000 Corpses. He worked extensively in theatre and TV before making a name for himself in movies. He was married twice, once to actress Beth Howland, and had a child by his second wife, Annie Tolstoy.
Michael J. Fox, whose actual middle name is "Andrew", adopted the middle initial J. in homage to Pollard.

- Dawson Casting: More than most actors. Pollard was naturally baby-faced and, as a self-styled hippie, tended to dress young. Thus he not only played teenagers well into his twenties, he was playing characters not much older into his early thirties.
