Mekkah
is a Youtuber who makes guides and Let's Plays of Fire Emblem games and occasionally ROM hacks. He was once known for collaborating with fellow Fire Emblem YouTuber Mangs, but after serious allegations were leveled against Mangs, the pair are no longer on speaking terms and Mekkah is usually only seen on his channel or the channel of Dondon, an LTC player.
Mekkah's videos provides examples of the following tropes:
- Author Avatar: Tends to be depicted as either Danved or an Exxegutor, the latter being his profile picture on YouTube and the former being used in the videos themselves.
- Beware the Quiet Ones: He's usually very chill and only showcases Tranquil Fury from time to time. However, he has raged a couple of times such as in Mangs' Black Eagles run and the earlier supports. He also does so whenever an extreme case of Mangs Luck occurs.
- …But He Sounds Handsome: Inverted when he read highlights from a very bad Binding Blade hard mode guide, and makes fun of “the guy who wrote this” quite a few times. Early on, the screen focuses on the author’s introduction, which shows the writer of the guide was Mekkah himself.
- Challenge Gamer: Double subverted. He tends to get pigeonholed into this role due to collaborating with various youtubers (Dondon, Mangs) who have done challenge playthroughs on their channels, as well as using challenge runs like LTCs when judging the usefulness of characters. His actual let's plays tend to be more casual, but recently he has delved into this with runs such as Ironmans, negative growths and reverse recruitment.
- Deadpan Snarker: Tended towards this in his collabs with Mangs.
- Fun with Acronyms: His series We Analyze Interesting Fire Emblem Units, abbreviated to WAIFU.
- Mean Character, Nice Actor: He's much nicer when he isn't watching Mangs make the same mistakes over and over again.
- Never Heard That One Before: He isn’t a fan of easy and deadhorse jokes such as 69.
- Running Gag:
- In his let's plays, he tends to train up at least one bad unit, such as Wendy in his Binding Blade Ironman or Darros in his Shadow Dragon Lunatic Ironman.
- His hatred of Forde.
- "That's a pitfall."
- Denying that Revelation exists, even when playing the game in question.
- Spell My Name With An S: He sometimes spells his name as Mekkkah, with 3 Ks instead of two.
- The Voice: He has never appeared on camera, outside of a few videos focused on physical items, but even then only his hands are seen.
