Mekia Cox (born November 18, 1981) is an American actress and dancer, known for her recurring role as Sasha in the second and third seasons of The CW drama Beverly Hills, 90210 and her role as a dancer in the Michael Jackson concert series This Is It and the related film Michael Jackson's This Is It. In 2010, she assumed a supporting role in Lost creator J. J. Abrams's short-lived NBC spy drama Undercovers. She is also known for her role as Princess Tiana in the ABC fantasy drama Once Upon a Time and for her role as Detective Nyla Harper in the ABC police drama The Rookie (2018).
She is from St. Croix in the US Virgin Islands originally. In 2018 she married Brit Leach, and gave birth to their daughter the same year. She announced that she's pregnant with her second child in 2022. In May 2022 she gave birth to another daughter. This pregnancy had been written into her role on The Rookie.
